Maybe not penicillin, but in the military you are not asked whether or not you want all the shots, you are expected to take them aka obey orders. Same goes in the workplace. Those who refuse to follow policies will likely be fired. I have seen it happen many times.

I'm not demanding that gay men be barred from work or medical treatment if they engage in unprotected sex, wherever did you get that idea?
Tell that to Biden. He says that EVERY death from COVID is directly the fault of the President.

That's a testable claim. If it's true, then the number of Republicans should be declining as they die of COVID in far greater numbers than non-Republicans. So, let's go to the evidence and test your claim. Party ID from beginning of Delta Surge:
    https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

The number of Republicans INCREASED by more than a fifth during the Delta surge, the only group to increase, at all. Your claim is falsified.
More Fake News. Under Biden, there is no Federal Mask or Vaccine Mandate, same as under Trump.
More Fake news. Though this is a testable statement. In our Constitutional Liberal Democracy our States are "Laboratories of Democracy". They try different approaches and the other States observe and adopt and replicate the policies that produce superior results.

If your claim is true, then CA, with the strictest vaccine and mask mandates in the country should have far lower active COVID cases than FL, who relies on education, persuasion and the good sense of the citizens. CA has a natural advantage over Florida as the median age in CA is significantly lower than FL and this is a disease where difficulty increases sharply with age. So, let's go to the facts and test your claim:

Florida has 6.4% of the US population, and 6.7% of the active COVID cases, an overage of 4%
California has 11.9% of the population, and 22.1% of the active COVID cases, an overage of 86%

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Again, your claim is falsified by real world evidence, Mandate excess CA has over 20 TIMES the overage of active COVID cases as Freedom and Liberty Florida. Clearly, Freedom/Liberty/Choice produces better results than smashed mouth authoritarianism, the go-to move for "progressives", who actually aren't progressing at all, they are regressing from Constitutional Liberal Democracy, rapidly backsliding into Whip-hand, Authoritarian Dystopianism.

Further, FL without a vaccine mandate has 59% of their population fully vaccinated. CA with it's smashed mouthed authoritarianism has 60% of it's population vaccinated, an insignificant statistical difference.

    https://www.mayoclinic.org/coronavirus-covid-19/vaccine-tracker/

Inferred in your position is the proposition
    i) Far greater compliance is obtained with smashed mouth authoritarianism that with Education/Pursusian/Confidence in the good sense of the Citizens.

And again, your position is not supported by real world sourced data, indeed, it's undermined.

You will not just be fired, you will be denied the ability to work anywhere (although I suspect that society will be fine with us working in crap jobs) by an ideological movement. All for what is so obvious at this point: politics..

It's not a company policy, it's Biden's policy that he is forcing on companies under threats of punitive actions.

I can't speak for all corporations, but my employer mandated them way before Biden did.

I do not agree with government mandating it BTW, and I think it should be challenged in the courts

Nothing but facts, and in pursuing this one-size fits all policy the Left continues to show its disregard for the personal liberty that makes America great and not like every other country. The left lacks the legitimacy to lead.

I never said you did! risky behaviors are from those but not all people who won't take covid-19 vaccine and then demand that no one around them gets sick from when at work.. How insane greedy and anti-American. Trump admitted that many of those who won't take the vaccine were his followers.

I've never heard him say it. But I Know that pathological Trump believed in vaccine optional as well as masks optional even when people were jam packed together at his rallies. .Millions who followed his examples were at greater risk because of this sick moron's example.

This is pure propaganda and no statistician in his right mind would call your statistics remotely close to accurate. How sad that you believe this. I remember when Trump would feed absolutely twisted statistics and non logical B.S. to his followers. His notions defied common sense rational thinking and poisoned the minds of some of his followers.

More pure propaganda. There are some elected republican officials (not all) who demand that not wearing masks and not taking vaccines are the right of the people. Republicans are leading the fray when it comes to blocking government mandates of vaccine These are the same low grade hypocrite/morons who complain and criticize that Biden is not doing enough to stop the virus.

This is laughable. The testing is over with and the statisitcs easily show that the vaccinated are far less likely to get covid-19 and the Delta Variant then those without vaccines. . Why are some conservatives and some republicans fighting for an ostensibly death optional policy.

Florida has 6.4% of the US population, and 6.7% of the active COVID cases, an overage of 4%
California has 11.9% of the population, and 22.1% of the active COVID cases, an overage of 86%

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Your stats are pure propaganda B.S. This is what I hated about Trump. Trump would spew out misstatements and false statistics even if it caused mayhem or took lives. He was a true piece of crap. Now look at something that really tells the story regarding Fla. Their rate of vaccination may have improved all though who can tell with tricky deadly-DeSantis' stats.
    .
Lets now look at the rate of death per 100,000 in Fla. VS CA

    https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/public-health/us-coronavirus-deaths-by-state-july-1.html
    Florida:
    Deaths per 100,000: 0.79
    Daily average deaths: 170.3
    California:
    Deaths per 100,000: 0.23
    Daily average deaths: 89.1

So what? He still said it.
    https://www.politifact.com/factchec...den-wrongly-claims-trump-couldve-prevented-e/
You are the one claiming that all these Republicans are refusing to get vaccinated and so dying, yet, Republicans are the only group that grew in number through the Delta death surge, so, you have no real world evidence to back up your claim, in fact, the real world evidence undercuts your claim.
Biden has not issued a vaccine mandate. He's read words off a teleprompter claiming it was important, but, he has issued NO mandate.
Well, they elegantly destroy your false claim that DeSantis' approach in inferior to CA's in terms of active cases.
Sure, keep in mind that the median Floridian is in their 40's while the median CA in their 30's. The COVID death rate CA is 0.2% of the population and for Florida 0.3%.

US COVID deaths for folks in their 40's are 2.5 times higher than COVID deaths for those in their 30's, yet, FL's deaths are only half again higher.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/1191568/reported-deaths-from-covid-by-age-us/

Your problem is that you think a mandate does something that reason/facts and persuasion cannot and your premise is false. Remember, you are dealing with Americans we Americans when we get pushed around, we push back. Reason with us with a fact based argument and if your facts are sound you'll get very good results. Tell us "do it or we will hurt you" and, well, you won't like the response you get from Americans with that kind of coercive approach, especially at the ballot box.

Too many on the Left in leadership have really fallen in love with smashed mouth authoritarianism, while far more in the GOP are using reason/facts and persuasion. I think you'll find when you review the upcoming election results that the GOP approach was a substantially better fit for the American Electorate.

Current Betting Odds for GOP control of Congress after the upcoming elections:

    Senate - GOP +11
    House - GOP +44

    https://electionbettingodds.com/House2022.html

If you guys were smart you would adjust your tactics, but, I don't see any signs of that. In our Constitutional Liberal Democracy, legitimate power flows from the Consent of the Governed. Do you think that smashed-mouth Authoritarianism is the means to the consent of the governed? If you have delusions that it is, you should be soundly disabused of them, shortly.

I've crushed everyone of your repeated arguments on this post.

The fact is that the Trump/DeSantis death optional policies are asinine and life negative. Your conclusions from your stats are completely beyond reality ridiculous and death affirming.

Lets now look at the rate of death per 100,000 in Fla. VS CA

    https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/public-health/us-coronavirus-deaths-by-state-july-1.html
    Florida:
    Deaths per 100,000: 0.79
    Daily average deaths: 170.3
    California:
    Deaths per 100,000: 0.23
    Daily average deaths: 89.1
How sad that for political reasons only Trump and DeSantis are pursing sick demented policies death optional policies. Trump is the most corrupt president in history and has been impeached twice. Yet there are those who believe in his death optional policies. Trump, DeSantis and other elected republican officials of their ilk are trying to convince Americans that their freedoms include the right to get contract covid-19 and the delta variation, to become deathly sick, and even became diseased. Spreading disease and death is not an American freedom. Freedom can only come with enlightenment and responsibility towards oneself and others.

Your Stats are Fake News. The correct measure for the current period is active cases, which you run from like you are being chased by Michael Moore wearing a thong. You do realize that the "most recent 7 days of data" is more a measure of lags in reporting than anything particularly meaningful?
Yes, we know that the smashed mouth authoritarians that make up part of the Left hate our freedom, though I'm sure the rank and file Left value us and our freedoms just as much as we do. Your problem is that your quality of leadership at the moment is the worst anyone has ever seen. I'm amazed that you cannot see the fix you are in more clearly. No one likes how you guys are acting. No one likes what you are trying to pull under the guise of this pandemic. And no one is going to stand for it.

The GOP is +11 to take control of the Senate and +44 to take control of the House. And that's not because they are doing much of anything other than staying out of your way while you hang yourselves.

Biden has constantly fought against Politicians such as Deadly DeSantis and Asinine Abbot of Texas who’s Death Optional polices are contrary to the President’s life saving measures of enforcing the wearing of masks and the taking of Covid-19 vaccines especially as they have proven to save lives against the Delta variant as well as Covid-19.
Over and over the news about Florida is how the death count per 100,000 is beyond reasonable given Deadly DeSantis’ sick policies of cutting off the vaccine and forbidding the wearing of masks.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/#:~:text=New York is one of the states with,100,000 people) Number of deaths per 100,000 people

To date, there have been 3,614,272 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida, equal to 16,969 infections per 100,000 people -- compared to 13,544 infections per 100,000 people nationwide.

How sad that Stalinesque politicians like Trump, Abott and DeSantis not only have death optional policies that wind up allowing thousands of deaths that could have been avoided but like true Soviets they create a false sense of security by projecting a false numbers of deaths. This country really needs to wipe itself clean of the few rogue "Soviet" republicans who think that public health and safety are a joke.

Fake News. Biden has issued no vaccine or mask mandates.
    Incoherent.
Looks like fake news. You cited no source and I see no support for your claim that DeSantis forbids mask wearing.
Your claim is fake news. FL is a bit higher than the average, but, with one of the oldest populations in the country, that is to be expected. Further, you seem to be trying to exploit this tragic disease for crass partisan purposes, as one immediately notes your failure to weep and wail over these Left wing states and those with large Black populations with higher death rates.

    MS 3349 0.33%
    NJ 3128 0.31%
    AL 3123 0.31%
    LA 3103 0.31%
    NY 2911 0.29%
    AZ 2847 0.28%
    MA 2738 0.27%
    RI 2708 0.27%
    FL 2707 0.27%
Fake news he reports their death date as the date they died. To call this a "lie" is pathetic.

Biden is conducting a Truman Show Presidency.

On 9/20/21, with Biden President, 3 working vaccines an 80+% of the country with at least one vaccination and/or natural immunity, the 7 day average daily death is 1,960/day
On 9/20/20, with NO VACCINES and The Orange Gift From God at the helm, the 7 day average of daily deaths was only 759.

Under Bare Shelves Biden, deaths are 258% of Trump's remarkable record, closer to tripled than doubled.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/#graph-deaths-daily

He truly is a pathetic piece of crap, and folks are catching on.

    PEOPLE ARE CATCHING ON
    [IMG]
Recent polling indicated "that most Americans (56%) think that Joe Biden is not directing policy and agenda for “his” administration. A small minority of 36% thought that Biden was really in charge. That was in July. Since then, things have gone badly downhill."

"This latest clip is the latest of many, many instances where Joe Biden clearly is not to be in full possession of his faculties, which were never outstanding to begin with."

Biden inexplicably wanders over to the microphone and starts trying to talk, incoherently, "over the band that has started to play, and DOCTOR Jill Biden walks quickly up to him to stop the embarrassment. She says “Look at me,” following which the “President” begins to wander off aimlessly and confused."

Today we got another poll: “How confident are you that Joe Biden is physically and mentally up to the job of being President of the United States?” That is brutally clear, and the responses are not encouraging, if you are a Democrat:"
"only 41% of voters are even “somewhat” confident in Joe Biden’s ability to discharge is duties as president–not to do them well, but to do them at all. While 58% lack confidence that Biden is “physically and mentally up to the job of being President of the United States,” with 50% “not at all confident.”"

We've never seen numbers like this. "Joe Biden is a pathetic shell of his former unimpressive self, and most Americans understand that fact, despite a concerted media effort to pretend that all is normal in the “Biden administration.” This is a problem that can only get worse for the Democrats. Biden’s condition is not going to improve, and more and more Americans will understand in the months to come that there is no one at the wheel."

Your stats have nothing to do with reality and are out dated. Florida's death rates are among the highest in the nation. Your information comes right out of the Trump/Putin Fictional Press.

    https://www.local10.com/news/florida/2021/10/12/florida-reports-887-more-covid-19-deaths/

Florida reports 887 more COVID-19 deaths

"Those deaths did not all happen in the past 24 hours and span back weeks. As has been the case for months, the state reports fatality data to the CDC that backdates deaths to the date when they occurred.
With the latest numbers added Tuesday, 349 COVID-related deaths have been reported thus far in October, and Florida’s September death toll has risen to more than 7,100 (an average of 239 per day)."

Deadly DeSantis blocked mask wearing increasing the death rate in his state. We have to stop voting for Soviet style regimes that have no concern about deaths in their states or the country.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crim...s-mask-ban-from-remaining-in-place/ar-AAOedam
'Judge blocks Gov. DeSantis’ mask ban from remaining in place"

    John Kennedy, Capital Bureau 9/8/2021

    https://www.politifact.com/factchec...florida-undercounting-covid-19-deaths-uses-f/
According to the CDC, so far this year, Florida has had 1,762 deaths from COVID-19 and 5,185 from pneumonia. Average pneumonia deaths in Florida from 2013-2018 for the same time period are 918.”

So Dear Leader DeSantis has never explained the massive jump of pneumonia deaths from 918 to 5185. Of course these deaths are due to the fact that many of the so called pneumonia deaths were due to a co morbid combination of both pneumonia and Covid-19 but simply listed as pneumonia to cover up the real number of deaths caused by covid-19. Please explain the jump from 918 to 5185 of pneumonia only deaths during a similer period of time. .

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is all off Topic and basically cheating and that's the only way you can try to win given that you are supporting Godless Soviet style leaders in America.

So here's your strategy. Simply claim it's all Fake news without actually accounting for how these numbers are fake. The easy and convenient way out for Trumpers.

Fake news, my stats are current through yesterday. I even posted the link.
Fake News. All of these states have higher death rates than FL.

    MS 3349 0.33%
    NJ 3128 0.31%
    AL 3123 0.31%
    LA 3103 0.31%
    NY 2911 0.29%
    AZ 2847 0.28%
    MA 2738 0.27%
    RI 2708 0.27%
    FL 2707 0.27%

Wrong again. Did you even read your link? I did, and your claim is false.

Further, there is solid evidence that maske rates do NOT reduce death rates.

New Study Finds Mask Mandate Failed to Reduce COVID Deaths ...

    [IMG]https://fee.org › articles › new-study-finds-mask-mandate-failed-to-reduce-covid-deaths-hospitalizations-or-cases
"A new study published in the The Southern Medical Journal (SMJ) found that a county-wide mask order in Bexar County, Texas, did not lead to a reduction in COVID-19 hospitalization rates or deaths.. The study, which was peer reviewed, analyzed data before and after mandates were imposed at both the state level (July 3, 2020) and in Bexar County (July 5, 2020), Texas's fourth largest county."

Yes. They had a Delta spike. Their 7 day average of daily deaths are now down to 16/day.

MN is having 19/deaths per day on the 7 day average. So Florida has 16% fewer deaths despite having nearly 4 times the population. And you never said squat. I understand that you fear DeSantis and it perfectly rational for you to. Neither Harris nor Biden will be able to beat him in 2024.

More Evidence That Florida's Low Number Of COVID Deaths Isn't Exactly A 'Miracle'
‘Even before the state took what had always been public information and began to hide it behind a newfound concern for privacy, there was evidence that DeSantis was covering up COVID-19 in the “Sunshine State.” On April 17, the Sun Sentinel warned that there was a spike in “pneumonia deaths” indicating that COVID-19 was already present and active in the state at a time when the official test results were showing a handful of cases. Even though flu cases were winding down in mid-March, pneumonia deaths had continued to head straight up. State Department of Health officials refused to comment on whether there was a connection between the soaring death count and the coronavirus, even as the official number of COVID-19 remained low."

But officials, including Anderson, do believe that a portion of the pneumonia and influenza deaths in Florida involved patients who were infected with, but never tested for, COVID-19. In such scenarios, though the virus likely contributed to the death, it may not have been recorded as the cause of death by the physician, coroner or medical examiner."

According to the CDC, so far this year, Florida has had 1,762 deaths from COVID-19 AND 5185 FROM PNEUMONIA . AVERAGE PNEUMONIA DEATHS IN FLORIDA FROM 2013-2018 AT THE SAME TIME PERIOD ARE 918."

The reason for the massive jump in pneumonia cases from 918 to 5185 during a similar period of time as in the past was that those 5185 were from co morbid deaths I.E. from both Covid-19 and pneumonia. Most of the pneumonia cases were from a combination of covid-19 (which in many cases leads to pneumonia) and pneumonia itself but Soviet DeSantis demanded that Medical Examiners should only list them as Pneumonia cases. This is the only thing that explains the jump from 918 pneumonia cases to 5185 during a similar period of time in the past. .

IN Your 218 post '"A new study published in the The Southern Medical Journal (SMJ) found that a county-wide mask order in Bexar County, Texas, did not lead to a reduction in COVID-19 hospitalization rates"
This study is a joke. It took a sample size from 1 Texas county which is not even close to representing the Nation as a whole. There was never any follow up as to whether these Texans in a state that doesn't condone mask wearing in the first place wore their masks properly or at all on a day to day basis. . A Totally useless report of a single county in a state that has never liked mandated mask wearing.

Fake News. It was reviewed by the US Army Institute of Surgical Research. You don't even post a study supporting your assertion. Looks like the joke's on you.

ANOTHER Study: Mask Mandates Didn't Help Slow Spread of COVID-19

"A new study suggests state mask mandates didn't help slow COVID-19 transmission. The pre-publication study found "qualitatively comparable courses of viral spread" among states with early, late, and no mask mandates."

Further: You failed to address this: "MN is having 19/deaths per day on the 7 day average. So Florida has 16% fewer deaths despite having nearly 4 times the population."

Your claim that Florida has the highest death rate is fake news. All of these states have higher death rates than FL.

    MS 3349 0.33%
    NJ 3128 0.31%
    AL 3123 0.31%
    LA 3103 0.31%
    NY 2911 0.29%
    AZ 2847 0.28%
    MA 2738 0.27%
    RI 2708 0.27%
    FL 2707 0.27%

Your claim that DeSantis forbids masks is also fake news and contradicted by the "source" you posted with your false claim. Try reading your source before you makes about it based on what some fake news site claimed it said. READ IT!

Why are we talking about masks when your initial contention that Florida as a state is doing better than average has been completely smashed. You've already failed completely with your Florida contention and your credibility is shot. Instead of admitting defeat you move on the another subject oblivious to the fact you have failed to prove you last contention. ARE YOU BLIND??:roflol: Or maybe you just can't take it.

In Florida, the picture is considerably more grim, with 4,924 deaths seemingly missing from our idea of the death toll. Given the state's somewhat dodgy history around reporting the numbers — where potential whistleblowers were harassed by police and the state suppressed reports from medical examiners — we can't say we're surprised.

Florida puts a positive spin on COVID-19 data, misleading the public on pandemic
While Florida has publicized that its “positivity rate” has regularly fallen below 5%, other health organizations are publishing data that shows the rate may be dramatically higher.
Independent experts, including Johns Hopkins University, consistently list Florida’s positivity rate at 10% or higher, twice the recommended level for widespread reopening.
Florida itself calculates another version of the rate — not widely publicized — that shows the pandemic is worse than state officials have championed. Those figures show that the rate has never fallen to the 5% threshold, the South Florida Sun Sentinel discovered.

A person who tests positive is counted only once, but negative tests can be counted repeatedly if the same person got more than one test.
In addition, just as the pandemic raced out of control this month, the state changed the formula. It now mixes two different types of tests, including one that produces more false negative results.
The upshot of both factors is that the rate of positive tests, as quoted by the state, could make the situation look significantly better than it is, experts say.

How much the rate would change, if calculated differently, is impossible to know because the state refuses to release key pieces of raw data.

COVID-19 cases in Florida continue to dive but deaths continue to pile up
    October 21, 2021
Florida is very close to a low point in weekly counts of new COVID-19 cases not seen since before the delta variant emerged but deaths from the summer surge continue to pile up in numbers rarely seen before the summer of 2021.
Florida’s latest COVID-19 Weekly Situation Report, released late Friday, records a seven-day increase of just 18,807 new cases statewide in the week ending Thursday.
That total is in the range Florida was tabulating each week in late May, June, and the first report in July, back when Florida’s coronavirus crisis appeared to be over.
Then came Florida’s summer surge, fueled by the delta variant, which began emerging by July 9. By July 30 Florida was reporting more than 100,000 new cases each week. Those case numbers began falling again in late August.

Florida’s COVID-19 deaths are still among the highest in the nation

Although Florida has reported lower COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations over the past few weeks, the state’s death rate is still among the highest in the nation.
An analysis from the New York Times finds that the number of COVID-19 deaths in Florida per 100,000 is the third highest in the country over the past seven days. And the state’s daily death average of 239.7 is higher than any other state.
Democratic Senator Janet Cruz questioned a representative from the Florida Department of Health on Wednesday about the state’s priorities when it comes to COVID-19 during a committee hearing in Tallahassee.
