An AK can effectively be turned into a bolt action by filling the gas port in the barrel with silver solder. Aiui, the ATF considers silver solder a permanant modification. It would be simple enough (though illegal) to drill back out if necessary. That is assuming you have access to a press to remove and replace the port fitting...

I’m just curious why Grover Nordquist is pumping this meme.

An amendment is the only constitutional way to do it.

    Sounds good.

Anybody who feels the need to own that sort of weapon to feel that their life has meaning, should be able to cough up $200.

    Chump change.

I oppose Biden on many issues.

But here I agree with him. 572,000 lives lost to guns in USA 1999-2016. A horrible figure which must be repeated.

Any Big Shot who can own a Big Bad Weapon like an Assault Rifle should be able to find that kind of money in the couch cushions.

Human Life as created by G-d has paramount value. That includes the lives of people suffering Severe Depression and prone to suicide.

Thank G-d, I was never that depressed.

Of course not. FedGov doesnt have the manpower. They'll task state and local cops to it instead. Which means it'll only be enforced against law abiding citizens in blue cities.

What do you think will happen to violence and burglary once blue cities become safe for crime?

Those rifles are between $500 and $1000. So the tax costs more than the product after 3-5 years.

Thats vengeful punishment, pure and simple.

and less than 1500 of those are due to some kind of rifle including AR-15s. But let's focus on those because they look more killy.

That’s where the registration comes in. With a slug on file for ballistics and dna on file for trace.

I’d love to answer your question. On magazines I’ll repost something I put together for another member as I don’t want to retype everything.
On semiautomatic rifles I’ll again repost. Sorry, I’m willing to answer more specific questions you have but let’s start here.

No reason for SWAT teams to have machine guns.
