There was never going to be a way to keep the virus out of the nation. The focus should have been on preparing for it.

 

What will be entertaining is when his court dates all start to hit and he finds himself personally bankrupt but still controls hundreds of millions of dollars in the PAC fund he alone operates that is set up in a fashion that he can use the money pretty much how he wants. His defenders/financiers now will watch him sailing in a rented super yacht on their donations, eating till he can't walk and laughing at them and they'll be able to do absolutely nothing about it as they realize that they've been played.

Actually, it's been proved time and again that the masks protect nobody from anything, whether they've had the injection or not.

It's these right wing politicians who want to have it both ways. They are all on record saying that they are pro vaccine, and they all have been vaccinated, but they are virtue signaling the antivaxxers who they want to keep in their camp, so they will damn the vaccine with faint praise.
Just go out and promote the eff out of the vaccine, heck, if you want to take credit for it, go right ahead. But what these people are doing to try to get some antivaxxers in their camp is criminal in my mind. Trump being the worst offender.

The most dominant strains in our area are the UK strain and the California supper spreader strain. Our numbers are fairly low though compared to what they were from July 4 to about mid February. Fingers crossed.

I tell you what. You explain to me why it’s not acceptable to go into a restaurant without a mask but once you get to your table you can take your mask off and eat. But if you get up from your table to go to the bathroom or leave, you need your mask again... You explain that to me in any logical fashion that makes sense and I’ll follow all mask rules from here on out.

 

I have serious questions about the effectiveness of masks. Did any of you guys see people wearing masking while they were dancing in cold weather last New Year's Eve? The masks don't stop anything at all, their vapor was going through the masks like they weren't even wearing them.

I no longer care, everyone I care for is vaccinated so I think we should completely reopen with zero protections. Government should no longer pay for the care of anyone that gets COVID unless they have had the vaccine, care should be rationed at healthcare facilities to not impact the treatment of others.

Some of the long term side effects of covid — even for those that are asymptomatic — I would prefer avoid.

Masks had zero to do with my decision, I actually prefer them in some situations (helps tremendously with allergies) — businesses should be allowed to implement their own health programs and their customers follow them or use another business. I see so many walking right past corporate signs and employees trying to hand out masks that I never want to hear another Republican say they support businesses setting their own rules.

Biden didn’t say he might let you do anything, that is up to local governments — he was telling Americans that take the pandemic seriously “If we do this together, by July the 4th, there's a good chance you, your family, and friends will be able to get together in your backyard or park and celebrate Independence Day.” because of the numerous social distancing requirements imposed in many areas to try and slow down the spread.
