Black News Channel set to launch in February: 24-hour national outlet targets black viewers

No - It's capitalism. You already have an abundance of programming that doesn't feature Hispanic, black, and Asian culture. That makes sense because the country is mostly white but why complain when people are interested in their own cultural practices and have programming that reflects it?

 

Well... once white folk are put in their place, you know, not seen or heard as much, back of the bus and all that. Then the leftists will find another reason why white people suck. And hopefully we will all finally realize that we deserve to pay for our White Privilege by surrendering our country to open boarders and all things foreign. And all will be will be right with the world.

 

If you watch TV, you;ll notice that the majority of commercials feature black people which is odd when they make up 12% of the population. And since whites are the majority in this country, then it only makes sense that whites be the majority in most things.

Can you explain to me how the below happened? Do you know what the odds are of three black women winning all three contests? And there were no riots, no outraged white people going nuts on tv and so on. Now lets' compare that to a few years ago when no blacks were nominated for an oscar, remember that? Remember the outrage? Remember the calls to boycott them? Remember Al Sharpton? Remember how it was RACIST?

They really need a Major Cable Deal to get into a significant number of markets.

 

Hispanics just replaced blacks as the largest minority voting bloc.We already have a few Spanish networks.

 

Any cable company who doesn't carry them will be boycotted to death, their fiber optic cables cut, their headquarters burned, and so on.

 

Steve. you're all over the place. You almost sound upset that black women won in all categories this year. If so, don't worry. It probably won't happen again soon.

Why are you so fixated on representation in commmericials? People who belong to the type of organizations that you're concerned about like the NAACP (which was founded by blacks and whites and has members of all races) and others have worked for decades to increase the representation of minorities. So, you see more minorities on TV. Why is this a problem to you?

 

Nothing wrong with a black news channel. I suspect it will be more intelligencia-driven thug culture meant to enrich the for-profit prison complex by corrupting black urban youths with the glofication of gangbanging, but I could be wrong (I hope Im wrong!). I'll wait to pass judgement.

In the meantime, someone go make a White News Channel and see what happens.

 

You don't know what you're talking about. There are multiple black stations and multiple cable stations. Not all cable companies carry them all. I can't get BET Her on Roku. No boycott yet. I just keep Xfinity.

At least (like U.S. Conservative) you get it! The station might end up being watched by mostly white Republicans! Watts will have to work to win over black viewers, who tend to view black Republican politicians askance.

Like other people have said on here if there was a news show that said "White News" targeting a white audience people would lose their minds and cry racism all over the place! What's the difference?

 

I see at least two substantial differences. 99 percent of the stations do not center programming around African-American culture. Consequently, the title is needed to help locate these stations. Turn on any station and the odds are much greater that you'll find programming targeted to white audiences. You don't need the label to find it.

There is a history of hate groups in the country and while I'm watching Soul Food on BET HER, the concern is that a WET would be propaganda for hate groups.

 

Blacks have been on ABC and won Grammys.

Are you kidding me? Hell, you want to see African-American culture on tv just turn on any episode of Cops, Live PD, WGN Nightly News, Jerry Springer, Maury, Steve Wilkos and especially The First 48. If any foreigner were to watch The First 48 then I bet their conclusion would be that the population of the US is at least 90% African-American.

 

I prefer to see people using their brains than wearing out their bodies for profit, actually and I'm not s sports fan.

We're talking about race, not nationality, and Watts is creating programming that he wants to see and living out his business dream. It's very American. Like I said, it's capitalism.
