This is what I know from looking just at my own neck of the woods. I just found out that a factory here who employs a couple hundred people that shut down 20 years ago is being opened back up. I was shocked since most of these kinds of factories left the country. All that I can say that if this is happening in other places, the GOP, or rather TRUMP, if he wants another term will get it. Now, this factory is located in a black area in town here, and used to employ many of these black americans once upon a time as well as white americans. This will put some of our people here back to work and they can leave McDonald's and walmart, the service sector. I dunno what changes pres. trump did to make this possible, but if it is going on in other places, the working class despising democrat party is toast. Toast. And surely our black american cousins will notice such things, and give credit where it is due. To the great chagrin of the DP, who have turned their backs on working people. The DP once was the party of the Common Man but have lost their way, and running an anti trump campaign just ain't gonna cut it if the working people catch on to their treason. I say this as an old FDR democrat who was forced to leave my party when they started only representing the upper middle class and the upper class elites and their interests.

You can call this anecdotal if you want but I call it Ground Research. Paying attention to what is happening in local areas. And I like what I am seeing in my own area. But then again, I have always been for the working american, just as my old party once was.

Someone cares, after Hildi was soundly defeated and your party pretty much turned on her the donations have dried up to a trickle compared to Republicans.

You mean the candidate that was 'the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy" that got where he did as a post turtle only because of the Chicago Machine?

There is a narcissistic, self-serving paranoid delusion to which some succumb that the federal authorities, the judiciary, America's intelligence agencies, the free press, all public surveys, local government, and even the paranoid narcissist's own appointees and public servants of his own party all must be attacked in fact-free hysterical tweet tantrumps if they are not worshipful bum kissers, as the p-grabber's mindless minions flail their pom poms with frenzied abandon.

Others take a more balanced view, and are understandably concerned about a fanatical cult of personality kowtowing to unAmerican authoritarianism.

    ^^^^^

State of Disunion: President Trump's political opponents complain that he is petulant, extremist and divisive. Then they revealed themselves at the State of the Union — with the entire country watching — to be far more petulant, extremist and divisive than Trump. Touché.

Sh¡thole Don nailed it when he bragged that his bum kissers would not care if he shot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue. Their devotion is emotional, immune to rational analysis. Others are capable of recognizing the pattern:
In an interview with me today, Ziblatt said that the actions around the Nunes memo carried “very ominous echoes” of the “first moves” of other elected autocrats. They “begin by politicizing law enforcement agencies, turning them into shields to defend themselves from investigation and prosecution and weapons to target opponents,” Ziblatt said. “This is always done by firing or forcing out neutral officials and loading up law enforcement agencies with ‘friendly’ officials.” Another key ingredient in democratic backsliding, they write, is “abdication,” in which under unified government, members of the elected leader’s party enable him to “get away with abusive” and “even authoritarian acts.”

Ziblatt noted that this episode may end up showcasing that, as well. After all, Republican leaders have backed the release of the memo even though
they know full well why Trump wants it released. Republicans assert that they are merely exercising oversight over our intelligence agencies — which is, of course, entirely appropriate — but their particular handling of this affair betrays a level of bad faith that completely undermines that claim.

“The key determinant of what happens here is whether partisan allies — in this case, the Republicans in Congress — abdicate in their constitutional duty,” Ziblatt told me. “Where governing parties are complicit in executive efforts to pack law enforcement, intelligence and other bodies, the results can be incredibly damaging.”

I look at this response as tacit acceptance that there exists a cult of personality around Trump.

And I look at your response as tactic reluctance to provide an answer to my questions. Stay in the weeds your response means zilch.

I believe the concern being expressed here is that with the cult of personality comes authoritarianism, potentially at least. And Trump himself, in addition to cultivating that cult around himself, speaks and behaves like an authoritarian ruler. Understand that his loyal followers would not necessarily knowingly tear down our democratic institutions in favor of their trumpism, except by first believing their dear leader's claims and taking his side over those institutions. Specifically, we have seen the media as well as the FBI come under attack and be accused of bias and corruption. This creates a conflict situation of Trump vs them. It is extending our idiotic left v right partisan paradigm to these institutions and the president; in short, sh*t's getting real. How far will you support Trump in his war against truth and justice?

No one I've seen speak on the subject have said the FBI was attacked at the rank and file level, it's the scum at the top we're upset about. As far as the media, well that speaks for itself, it's not what they're reporting so much as what they're omitting. I'll support the President until he's proven wrong and not by some rantings from the left without proof. He hates the media wouldn't you if you were attacked since 2015 non stop. Trump was an ok guy until he declared his intentions to run for office, what's changed?

Trump was a pompous, racist, ******* looooong before he declared his intention to run for office.

And it takes a special kind of stupid to think that attacks on the leadership at the FBI, leadership appointed by Republicans and respected deeply by the rank and file, does not get interpreted as an attack on the rank and file by those same individuals.

Back in 2005 former leaders of the "New Left" (Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and the radical leftist terrorist organization the Weather-Underground)
convinced the DNC to run a black man for President in 2008 and they even suggested they already had that person, an Alinkyite, a community organizer.

No effort is required because the facts are so abundantly clear. Anyone who was alive in the USA in 2016 knows them. Some people refuse to admit it, but the facts are obvious.

Oh no, I knew it Harvard is part of the big conspiracy!! You see people who educate themselves know that if you were president of the Harvard law review you have to be a top student. You see people know that when you graduate cum laude it means you had top grades. He won’t show his grades because there is no need to but yet you don’t care about trumps income tax return because after all this something to hide. You care about trivial things like Obama’s birth certificate and other silly things. By the way why aren’t you demanding trumps college transcript.
I’m also a little embarrassed for you that you are so ill-informed that you think Obama was just a state senator for five minutes and you are unaware that he was a United States senator. Oh well Trump knows his base
