It always amuses me when people are outraged at warfare not being conducted within the restrictions of tight arse politically correct, polite society. To such people, I will say "don`t worry too much if you can`t handle reality, the rest of us will look after you".

The purpose of the army is to kill people and break things. When crack troops are forced to become politically correct peacekeepers, this is kinda (*)(*)(*)(*) that's going to happen. No news here

It's called psychological warfare. I'm sorry that I spoke over your head, but I don't have time to write for every reading level.

Are you worried since Breivik type ranting is characteristic for you:

Usually it the bullet end they use to shut anyone up exposing their cruel, apartheid, nazi, evil actions and at least his family will be glad he only has a broken jaw and teeth and not going back to Denmark in a wooden box like so many hundreds of thousands who speak out against the parasite and it's host.

Just like Brievik's testimony the other day when he claimed 19,000 Norwegian women raped by Muslims. Talk about groups of people as parasites and made up stories like broken jaws and teeth.

A soldier and a suicide bomber aren't on the same level. Suicide bombers don't wear uniforms, and their tactics don't attempt to minimize bystander casualties.

For these reasons, they should receive less respect.

    The 'uniforms'

So if a suicide bomber put on a uniform then blew himself up, then he is worthy of respect?

And soldiers tactics can be just as bloody, more civilians die at the hands or guns of organised military.

Are you suggesting Afghan suicide bombers take their daughters as second, third and fourth wives?

I don't think its very typical for them to have wives at all.

The authors of the report interviewed over two dozen would-be or failed suicide bombers. They find that most are poor and uneducated, some are children, and many did not fully understand the consequences of their actions. An increasing number are Afghans, though the majority appear to be foreigners. The tribal territories of Pakistan remain an important base of support and recruitment for suicide bombers, but the Afghan dimension is growing. Only 11 percent of Afghans surveyed state that suicide bombing can sometimes be used to defend Islam.

Rather than trying to beat an invading army they appear to be invaders themselves. The very first suicide bombers in Afghanistan were of north African origin and attacked the head of the then Afghan resistance, Ahmad Shah Massoud, who was fighting an invading mostly Pakistan army, the Taliban. Prior to this there were no suicide bombers attacking the invading Soviet army. Presently most of the victims of suicide bombings in Afghanistan are Afghans and civilians not an invading army. Perhaps the families of the suicide bombers are ashamed and not proud of their relatives? Breivik meant he was fighting an invasion and yet far from being proud his father is deeply ashamed disowning his son.

Its worth noting that Bin Laden himself made fun of the 9/11 suicide attackers joking that some of them thought they would survive.

No, You have any evidence that they are not married, most people in that part of the world are married and have kids.

They are Pashtuns,it is a Pashtuns movement. They are anything but invaders. The Americans are the invaders, they come from America.

What a load of crap. Did you read that on jihadwatch?

It is part of a restiance war, the invading army is fought and also all those who allign with them. It has happened in countless occupations. And a bloody mess when the locals are stuck in the middle of being occupied and fear being killed if they bow down to it.

How does this differ from Breivik's defence? How can the status of invaders/resistance switch like that? If the returning Danes who had fought alongside the Nazis on the eastern front in WWII had engaged in fighting the Danish resistance after the surrender of Germany would they too have become the resistance and their foes the invading force? What about Vichy France when the allies invaded did roles suddenly switch there?

Briviks defence is not going to go well. Although it proberbly be a court room first, if he can explain to a jury and judge that he killed 77 people for self defense. Although his nazi salutes in open court might have already made up their minds.

I wouldn't say that he's already won the first round when he was declared fit for trial. However we can agree that he won't get far trying to explain it was self defense/legitimate resistance. Which of course is just my point.

The uniforms point is that our forces are out in the open. We don't hide behind the guise of being civilians.

Soldier tactics can be bloody, but the emphasis is on minimizing collateral damage. That's not the case with insurgents.

Some civilians die from our attacks, but a lot of the time, the civilians that die in things like drone attacks are aiding and abetting insurgents, so it's questionable if they truly fit the description of "civilian" at that point.

I would have thought, being unfit ( the insanity excuse) would be the best outcome from his lawyers point of view. Although it seems as Raymondo pointed out earlier, he wants his 15 minutes of fame.
