I'd rather have a pit bull mentality and expect better of our leaders than what we've had than to have a lazy, sloppy mentality and find excuses for the incompetence that's running this once great country into the ground.......

Up until 9/11 I didn't pay any attention to politics, being busy w/a job, family, etc...... 9/11 happened and I paid close attention to the POTUS and Bush did nothing to secure the borders. He did nothing but go to war against Iraq, which 99% of the Dems approved of......remember simple-minded Kerry saying "I approved of the war b/f I was against the war".....

Ahhh he passed the Patriot Act, he went to war with al Qaeda in Afghanistan, he put together the coalition, AND he carried out the official US policy of Saddam's removal so that he would no longer pose a threat on many levels including aiding and abetting terrorist who wanted to attack western states.

Those who claim a European country would take him into custody, of course that would be after a fire fight with his SS detachment.

It's not the fact that she got pregnant, at 17 or 24 that is worth considering.

She has stood in front of people and discussed in a public forum her so called views on abstinence, family values, etc...

I do not consider her a bad person for having a child out of wedlock, nor for having one as a minor.

I do consider her and the whole Palin clan to be nothing but charlatans and liars because they constantly say one thing and then do another.

That is the reason several people are blowing up over her second pregnancy. For someone who preaches about abstinence unless married to end up pregnant just as her engagement is called off at the altar means she doesn't practice what she preaches. To top if off, no one has made a comment on who the father may be. I'm guessing there may be some other cheating that could have taken place further complicating matters. If that were true could you still write in support of this person?

 

Since when did you start caring what people did behind closed doors? I thought you libs were all about irresponsible sex. At least she's not classless and trashy and asking for a million dollars to keep the kid.

 

It should be noted that Bristol brought a certain amount of scrutiny on herself by becoming a paid abstinence spokesperson.

I'm not covering for her b/c it doesn't matter to me. She's an adult, it's her life and her mistakes and how she chooses to correct it or not is up to her. I get sick of the hypocrisy when someone like John Edwards, who also preached family values did what he did and very little noise came from the left, but when it came to the Palins, the vultures watch every little move. I had said she may have lived a celibate life until she met whomever and now pg - then m/b not. Don't know, don't care.....but don't think she's any worse than many of the other hypocrites on the other side of the isle.

But to call the whole Palin clan 'charlatans and liars' is disgusting b/c that includes 2 teenage girls who appear to live unnewsworthy and a boy w/Downs Syndrome.

A lot of so called public interest groups, tea party groups, and candidates are little more than fundraising and money laundering operations for the web of right wing political consultants, direct mail operators, bloggers and lobbyists who haunt the dark reaches of the right wing noise machine.

Groups like these made more money promoting Alan West's candidacy than he actually raised himself. He never saw a dime of most of the money raised in his name.

Ben Carson is another one. The National Ben Carson for President operation raised over $3 million last year. Carson didn't see one thin dime of it, but a lot of shadowy guys in McClean and Alexandria got nice checks.
