which is why I do not support taking the rights away from ex-felons that have done their time, it they are law abiding citizens they woudl follow the law, if not they would own the gun anyways... so if they are not law abiding citizens, they shoudl be allow to own a gun to protect their homes and families like everyone else

if owning a gun was a privilege like driving a car, that woudl be different, but owning a gun is a right

So if the government feels like it it can get rid of any parts of the Constitution that they disagree with, such as fair trials, search and siezure, freedom of the press, peaceful assembly, the list is almost endless and all they have to say to justify it is "Public safety"
    Scary stuff

Do any of those have “well regulated” in front of them?
    No?
    Then no.

Where did you get I want no consequences for theft? Or do you believe being shot / death is not a large enough consequence?

That’s what happens when you ignore the obscene inequality in society and refuse to deal with the problem.
Greed and selfishness are destroying society.
Stop whining about the piles of **** while ignoring the elephant in the room.
    Bring attention to what’s important.

Not just public safety, public convenience and property rights et al can trump it too. If we interpreted free expression like we interpret guns then a NAMBLA representative would be proposing to your toddler every time you walked into Chipotle's and suing you if you objected.

What good is private security when the criminal will not be prosecuted? Guess what? The DA is a DEMOCRAT! Quelle surprise!

Does the 2nd Amendment have a section of small print that says "This right does not apply to convicted felons and those accused of certain rimes, but not yet convicted"?

    Nope!

It says it RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING of the 2nd Amendment!

    "WELL REGULATED"

That means that the government of We the People can REGULATE who has VIOLATED their right to firearms because they committed CRIMES against We the People.

The government REGULATES the right to vote and denies it to people under the age of 18.

The government REGULATES the right to Freedom of Expression by EXCLUDING speech that incites violence.

This CONCEPT of REGULATING individual rights was taught in Civics 101.

Were you out sick that day?

Cops Walk Up to Innocent Family's Home, Shoot Dad Through the Door-NO Jail

In June of last year, Officers Edward Ferron, 41, and Savannah Simmons, 22, were both indicted for their actions that night on three felony counts of reckless handling of a firearm resulting in serious bodily injury, unlawful wounding and unlawful shooting at an occupied domicile.

In March, they pleaded no contest to the charges and were “sentenced” for their crimes to 100 hours of community service — a travesty of justice indeed.

Trigger-Happy Cops Open Fire on Innocent Couple After Mistaking them for Armed Robbers

Citizens of New Haven have been protesting every day since last Tuesday after police blocked in an innocent couple in their vehicle and opened fire on them for no reason. The entire incident was captured on video and showed the utter cowardice and ridiculous violence carried out by New Haven’s best.

Mayor Curt Leng called the shooting “shocking, haunting.”

Year after year, the same incidents over and over again but the right wingers feel it is 'no harm, no foul' when cops do it. Mebbe if it happened to them they might change their views on it.

It is a de facto license to kill without any consequences whatsoever!

Sounds like they just opened season on shoplifting, as you said. That said, I can't imagine this sticking for long.

By not reporting all this petty crime, it positively impacts certain demographics committing the majority of it. That's whats going on.

Then don't "whine" when some shop owner shoots and kills a shoplifter. He is just protecting his livelihood.
