You let us worry about that AFTER California leaves. I don't any reason for them to think they should stick around.

Those in California wanting succession are idiots.

You missed the point. Those screaming about California trying to get succession on the ballot, were actually supportive of Texas when they wanted it in 2015 because "OBAMA !!!!".

If they're so great and advanced then they shouldn't have any issue leaving, wouldn't you agree?

That's only because the North couldn't survive without the South so they had to start a war to get us back into the Union. Had they let us go, like we'd love to do for California and the other two coastal states, there wouldn't be a Civil War.

Right, so, as I said before, there's nothing in the constitution that says a state is not allowed to leave the union.

If we can get rid of hyperliberal insane asylums like California, the big Libocrat "Welfare Circus" will cease to exist! The only people getting welfare will be those who verifiably and really deserve to receive it because they cannot (CANNOT) support themselves because of birth defects, horrible injuries, or debilitating diseases. That's the way it USED to be, back when America was great....

So, let's send all the parasites, slackers, and bums to "The Golden State" and let them secede -- and, take those half-witted, bleeding-hearts in coastal Oregon and coastal Washington state with them!

    No idea.
I already stated, they will not secede. Just like former Mexico, Tehas, did not secede.

I don't know about Tehas, but the American Texas seceded and joined the CSA on Feb. 1st, 1861.

    Secession wouldn't be good, either.

You missed the point the South is STILL called traitors bg the left there is an active thread now. So if secession is committing treason should they be arrested? I don't recall those advocating Texas execute its option to secede calling the South traitors.

What do you mean you don't know you previously said soaking if the Southern states which seceded

So shouldn't those advocating treason in California be arrested? If California does proclaim itself a serparate country shouldn't those leaders be arrested by the federal troops sent in to quell the rebellion?

Abandoning a treaty is not rebellion.

This would be. Secession is treason according to the left and those who lead it and support traitors. But do explain the legal and constitutional differences.

Why do you have to make this about something it’s not ? When the south tried it, it was treason when it became an armed insurrection.

Your always trying to conflate issues to meet your ideological agenda. Try debating the issue, and only the issue at hand

The Confederate States of America was a collection of 11 states that seceded from the United States in 1860 following the election of President Abraham Lincoln. Led by Jefferson Davis and existing from 1861 to 1865, the Confederacy struggled for legitimacy and was never recognized as a sovereign nation. After suffering a crushing defeat in the Civil War, the Confederate States of America ceased to exist.

    A failed secession.
To formally secede, it must be recognized. Otherwise it is a rebellion.

How can a country leaving a treaty be treason? Treason against whom? The other countries? No, they are left unharmed.

If a country abandons a treaty it has agreed to, that's not treason.

There have been no steps towards actually seceding.
If they formally provide the necessary steps, and it formally granted by the union they wish to secede from. Then a successful secession has taken place.

If the formal secession is denied, and attempts continue, then it is a rebellion and considered to be traitors.

The original colonies, wanted to secede from England. But was not formally granted. Hence the Revolutionary war. Where the winner gets the prize.
I would guess the US colonies and its soldiers, were considered traitors by England.

Your the only one calling secession as treason. You and maybe a bunch of other southerners who failed a secession and went to war instead.

You know RWers get fed false information or misleading information. When presented with details and facts about a topic, they can't understand it. Even if actual words are defined by the dictionary to help them understand.
