No one said a word about being scared to death, being prepared is more appropriate. Many of those guns are for hunting or plinking, and no one is making 170 million Americans into felons overnight.

That's why 53% of murder is committed by people with a prior felony conviction.

This is why 67% of murders is committed by those with prior criminal convictions and 73% of those in other violent crimes have long arrest/conviction records.

Clearly, the prison sentences for violent criminals is insufficient.

How do you explain the data I presented? The United States of America has more gun deaths per capita than other modern democratic nations. The United States has a greater percent of its population incarcerated than almost any other nation in the world.

Yes, criminals shooting other criminals is not something many of us care about, adding them to statistics is stupid. It's as stupid as adding suicides. We know why simpletons try and use emotional arguments to make points, we simply ask the right questions in search of answers.

Your rhetoric would like to exclude anyone killed with anything besides a firearm, and you'd like to throw in suicides, which we both know are not higher than any other nation in the world.

It's why your rhetoric only includes a few countries in comparison to the rest of the world. Most of which don't have access to guns like we do, yet have much higher homicide rates.

When compared to the rest of the world and gun ownership per 100k, the truth becomes obvious.





As for how many people are in prison, if they're guilty of violent crime, and you still have a lot of violent criminals out running around committing murders, then your prison population is too small.

I'm all for the death penalty for repeat violent offenders. How about you?

Disorganized crime is the always the greatest threat, and violent crime including gun crime has soared since the bans were imposed.
