McClatchy also didn't explore in print the possibility that Ernst Stavro Blofeld made several clones of Michael Cohen and sent one of the clones to Prague instead of the real Cohen...

And the lefties are the ones wearing giant tin foil sombreros??

Why don't you phone up the Daily Mail in the UK and bitch at them? Apparently you know more than they do.

Well, then why did he lie about it?

And why did Trump and Trumpster media engage in this ridiculous campaign to try and discredit the story by focusing on the fact that his passport didn't have a stamp from the Czech Republic. Granted, you can fool the right wing talk radio/Fox crowd with a story like that, but it had no chance of holding up. Which cements suspicions that Cohen was lying.

That's the problem with cover ups. The perpetrators lie about their activities and get caught at it.

Since this is just before the Democratic convention, which was preceeded by the first Russian sourced wikileaks dump, and since Cohen did talk to the Russians on a number of occassions (usually when pushing Trump's Trump Tower Moscow project, when Trump and Cohen repeatedly have lied about), and about the time Roger Stone talked to the Russians, which he also has been lying about, inquiring minds do want to know if Cohen was there, and what he was doing.

As usual, Mueller knows a lot more about this than the public does. Trump's lawyers are in the unenviable position of not knowing what Mueller probably knows. That's because they don't get straight answers out of their client, and his associates, and they are lied to and left in the dark fairly regularly.

While this is far fetched, when compared to the more straightforward explanation, I don't think that it's implausible.

The Russians seldom missed an opportunity to compromise Trump and the Trump Campaign. No that the Trump's and the band of idiots and yes men that surrounded him didn't roll out the welcome mat.

They already had Manafort, Don Jr, Manafort et al, from the infamous Trump Tower meeting. They had Trump too, dating back years. They like to remind him every once in a while.

Ordinarily, a US Presidential campaign would do everything it could to avoid even the suggestion that they had any communication at all with agents of the intelligence services of a rival nation during a campaign. But not Trump.

Pinging Cohen puts him in a place that he has consistantly lied about visiting. Thus, throwing even more doubt and suspicion on the US President, which serves the Russian's objectives nicely.

I think that when the history of our time is written, there will be a lot of truth to your noting that Trump was done after Charlottesville.

I think that was then that a lot of otherwise decent people woke up and realized not only what they'd done, but that they were most likely stuck with it for at least four years.

    Trump keeps reminding them too.

At this point, Trump's poll numbers are stable.

But, I'm pretty sure that when this border wall gambit collapses, you'e going to see some serious cracks in that foundation.

Trump can't move his agenda. And is credibility on the world stage is non existant.

He bellows and struts to entertain his base, but that's about all he does anymore.

His incoherent tweets of the past few days are downright pathetic.

Couldn't be further from the truth..... IF true..... If not true, McClatchy is going to be looking for 2 new reporters...

The Mueller report is probably going to be 2 or 3 phone books in size.... Personally, I'm doing a search for "Prague" if/when it's made public...

I don't understand why they are denying anything. Campaign teams buy dirt on the opposition all the time, including from foreign actors. There could be video of money changing hands and it would still not be illegal. There is no leverage against the office of the president to be held by anyone. Now, if the president provided classified information that allowed foreign actors access to classified accounts or documents, that would be illegal, even treasonous, and Trump should be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed.

You mean like tweeting proof that Seal Team 5 is currently deployed to a specific airbase in Iraq??

But, assuming Chris Steele was right about Cohen being in (near) Prague, it stands to reason he was pretty close to the reason WHY he was there..

    SNIP (Steele Dossier)
[T]he agenda comprised questions on how deniable cash payments were to be made to hackers who had worked in Europe under Kremlin direction against the Clinton campaign and various contingencies for covering up these operations and Moscow’s secret liaison with the Trump team more generally.
    ENDSNIP

And that's trouble.... with a capital T and that rhymes with C and that's stands for Collusion...
