Results reveal vast wind power technical potentials as high as 53.9 PWh nationally, equivalent to approximately 7.2 times the electricity consumption in 2020.

Obviously there are a lot of other factors to the transition:

• Retiring coal burning plants.
• Developing energy storage infrastructure (i.e. pumped water storage, retired EV battery storage, etc.)
• Improved efficiencies.

For the last 20-30 years, China has been doing two things.
1. They have been updating their entire infrastructure and way of life to a higher standard, which has increased their need for electricity. From 2000 to 2019, their consumption went up sixfold. And it continues to rise, albeit at a slower rate.

2. At the same time, China has also increased their use of renewables steadily over those years, to where they are generating a much higher percentage of their electricity from renewables.. They are a world leader in the use of renewables, and also a world leader in renewable technology.

China is making an effort. The same cannot be said for Russia. Russia still gets less than 1% of their electricity from wind and solar. They've done nothing but destroy infrasturucture around the world with their warmongering, leading to a horrendously toll on mankind to rebuild. They take the world backwards.

Why do you folks always bash China and ignore the disaster that is Russia?

 

Because there are no "useful idiots" in the West repeating propaganda on behalf of Russia.

 

Trump praises Russia and Putin. Trump denies Climate Change. He may make Russia the 51st State. Or maybe the US will become a Russian territory under Trump.

 

Trump also kept Putin from attacking Ukraine and Hamas from attacking Israel and the Taliban from stealing Bagram and killing 13 US soldiers in an unholy botched withdrawal from Afghanistan and Mexico from sending hordes to cross our border. Or did you miss all of that?
