I wish you would shut your yap just for a second, consider what you are all about....then proclaim the virtues of the god you believe in and try to win others to your side. Instead you try and discredit the faith of others who "walk in faith" and try to improve that walk. This is why you have no credibility with others of Faith!

Of course I have no credibility with followers of fundamentalist dogma - these folks are trained in the art of "demonization of the other" - part of the sophisticated mind control techniques they are subjected to - nor the followers of Martin Luthers "Faith Alone" dogma.

I am not here to "Win others to my side" - I am here to tell you what the Truth is - the way - the light - whether or not you like it.

I can see your religion is something that helps you in some way, but it seems to me you still have a struggle with the pure love aspect of this stuff you go on about when you wrongly single out some groups, the Irish and others, as drunkards.
Maybe hidden in your religious views is the requirement for people not to invent disparaging stuff about others.
    Pure love?
Do you extend your pure love to followers of Islam?

Haven't ever heard you address "Truth". You just put down what others have.

Sorry Derideo I am a testimony that you are wrong. My parents were agnostic. Every once in a while growing up we went to a "Liberal" Quaker Church. Anything I learned about a "secular" Jesus was even scrutinized on the way home. After doing the teenage rebellion thing, leaving home and experimenting with all kinds of things, and before going to a Church even, I turned my life to Jesus. Wasn't born an atheist. I was lost but He was there all along. In my human nature, it was like seeing Him through a dark smokey glass. At 25 it became much clearer.

Which other ? - what other had this truth that was put down - what was this truth .. and did you not see where it was "the other" who was engaging in put downs - projecting internal flaws externally onto others .. and you sure you not doing the same - blind to what is going on - blind to the Truth.

I asked which God you were referring to - you would not answer - unable to speak to the Truth. I then spoke about the Truth - about the God of Abraham - and Melchizedek - the ceremony of wine and bread.

It is you who has yet to be able to "address the Truth" all you can managed is veiled put downs and unsupported accusations which turn out to be false.

Do not continue in this deception - down the dark path of the deceiver - and address "The Truth" :)

    Good question! :)
There is no nation that would be born drunkards.
And one should never confuse the pleasure of tasting a good wine or a good beer with alcokolism.

You have some kind of obsession with me mentioning Irish, but not about me mentioning native Americans or Japanese. Are you a racist?

Okay to make you happy, I'll mentions some other white Europeans like the Russians - although I read that the Lithuanians are worse.:alcoholic:

I recall reading once, that in Sweden they found a deficiency in one of the B vitamins that creates the problem, and they were thinking of putting it in the drinks. This would mean that some people do have a tendency to drink more than others. Some Japanese have told me that they do have problems, as do the native Americans. I also read that the problems the Russians have might be do to Mongol blood.

As for me, other than an inherent tendency, I think there's a spiritual component, otherwise Alcohol Anonymous wouldn't be so successful in helping them. Then again I think there's a spiritual component to everything.

Talking of Germany, the Bavarians have a reputation for drinking lots of beer.
But it seems that they can take it - without becoming alcoholics because of it.

So you are doubling down on your racism. Is that what you call ‘pure love’?

Aha, projection! There we go. It bothers you when I put limits on the perfection of White Europeans, but not on others -. like the Japanese and Native Americans.

As for Pure Love, there is a difference between the attributes of our Creator and man's attributes. But then again self designated 'gods' can't make that distinction. Hubris overcomes them.

Take that you fools of misery.
For we the gods of lofty see,
are watching you from our great height
and snicker at the motley sight
of lesser beings, not as bright as we.

For as you know we're keen and wise,
that's why we delve in tricks and lies,
so we can rule your land and State
and be the masters of your fate.

For unlike you such lowly fools
    who follow banal moral rules.
We make our own, for it's our right.
    And why we reign in our great height;
and not on earth, but in our stead
of hubris and of bloated head - Jeannette

You're not good at defending your racism are you?
This is to do with you saying the Irish, and others like Aboriginal Americans, Japanese, and even the 'b-vitamin' Swedes are those with a problem with alcohol.
If you can't see that lumping whole groups of people according to their race, and disparaging them, isn't pure racism then there is no help for you.
Maybe you ought to reflect on what you mean by pure love, or are you pleading the 'I am a mere mortal' amendment?

There is one God. He is one and the same. Ceremony of Wine and Bread? Had that this morning as a symbol of obedience......however, "the Kingdom of God is not meat nor drink but righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

Obedience is something I would not give lightly, certainly not without question...the first of which would be 'who are you to tell me what to do?'

Perhaps there is only one - but I doubt it .. one "Most High" perhaps -- but multitudes of entities with God-like Powers. - and yes .. God is one in the same with God.

The name of the Chief God of the Canaanite Pantheon was "El" - the God that Abe and Melchizedek whorshiped as "The Most High"

Was "HeyZeus" that said the ritual was to be done to remember him .. don't recall him saying anything about obedience.. You are correct about the Holy Spirit though - Much Joy in sparking up the peace pipe with the HS .. he has the best and most righteous product !

    Not specifically.
It was suggesting the sacrament was to do with obedience.
Not something I would buy into without question.

That is reasonable. It is my personal choice. I am not obedient to many. I made the decision because I have been shown (personally) God is worthy of my obedience as well as praise. I see it as a gift. I know I am not alone. If I was, I don't know it would make any difference.

    Jesus liked to drink wine.
Some super-pious Christians seem to forget about that ....
