Indeed !!!! The world s is ill equipped for handling world wide crisis like a pandemic. Will it learn from this current experience??

There are major evens like this one that transcend individual politics and all nations must work together. There is no real WORLD leadership/organizations . for these kind of crisis.

One thing I did learn today. It seems I was wrong that our government hadn't thought of ordering vials in advance, they were pushing manufacture last August, just takes longer than I thought to make 200m vials. So well done Boris on that one.

    You stand corrected. :)
<thinking of Star Fleet formality, maybe USN too>

So why no easier access for vaccinations
as with flu shots and shingles vaccination
    available at many local pharmacies?

Accessing the limited vaccination sites is absurd
for a government system promoting, vaccination.

AND do support anti viral medications!
Side effects so minimal, they should get jump started!
    Ivermectin. Flumadine. Etc. & combinations.

Question: Are the vaccinations normally given out at pharmacies pre drawn (supplied in a syringe)? In the UK pre drawn drugs can be given by a pharmacist, but where the drug comes in a vial it has to be a qualified medical practitioner.

IMO the mRNA vaccines are not practical for general use

Following a record nationwide surge in early January for hospitalizations from COVID-19, which has so far infected over 26 million Americans and killed more that 444,000, health care workers at U.S. hospitals are speaking out about the toll of serving on the front lines of the pandemic.
Health Care workers are saying on how exhausted they are. who can blame them?

Never shake! Only swirl. Even us hicks administering vaccines in the neck with 16 gauge needles know to be gentle with the product! :)

I have a friend who’s a retired pharmacist. I just texted him your question. In the US pharmacists can and do administer both pre drawn and vaccines supplied in a vial.

I'm not sure I trust this.
What puzzles me is that Russia claimed they had their vaccine tested and passed back in August 2020, yet they claim only 1.5 million people vaccinated since then and even this number is much disputed.
    https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2021...-experts-think-the-numbers-dont-add-up-a72602

America at its worst might try to justify its errors, but its still democratic enough not to falsify its numbers.

What would be better? Get the COVID-19 vaccine shot at a place like Walgreen's, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid or any other pharmacy, Or at a medical Clinic/ Hospital environment? It is a question that we should answer whether we decide what is best for us when we want to fight off this pandemic. We must all be prepared for this before it gets worse. It goes to us
all wherever we live, work or whatever. Think about it.

If the vaccine require two shots, after the first one you are not exactly protected, so you have to wait for a week after the second shot to be really protected. Then the protection should last for no less than 6-8 months and for no more than 1 year.
We can say this on the base of the experience with the flu vaccine. Anyway there are no available statistical data regarding these new vaccines [obviously]. This is also why it's better to vaccinate how many persons is possible in a relatively little time to reach the herd immunity before that the first vaccinated subjects will be no more protected ...

But even if annoying, I cannot exclude that there will be the necessity to vaccinate all a second time before of the end of 2021.
    We will see.
