As someone who willingly served... I dont want people next to me who dont want to be there. 60 years ago it was different, but these days, if you dont want to knuck up and carry your own weight, I'd rather you stay home. We had two who were like that, and we left them back at the base to sweep our sandy motor pool. That's all they did for days, was sweep dirt around. Should have never been there in the first place. Just my personal opinion.
