When I heard trump I almost barfed/ I'm reminded of a now famous quote from one of trump's friends: "You can put lipstick on a pig and you still have a pig".
The speech that trump read out was appropriate and good. Everyone else's speeches were also appropriate and good, befitting the occasion. But the puerile fulminations on twitter that trump wallowed in during the whole trip was what was really on his mind. At least he was too afraid to try to take over the event with one of his self-serving brain farts. Maybe he was medicated beforehand. But give credit where credit's due, so thanks, trump, for not ****ing up the D-Day ceremonies with your usual deplorable antics.
