Dating Advice for my son

I believe the idea would be to browse the isles of a Grocery Store and strike up conversation with interesting women. The Italian part is unimportant in this, but I will admit to meeting someone worthwhile in the store once and it lasted quite some time...good times.

I could be wrong of course.

 

My parents met in a bar and enjoyed 39 years of blissful marriage.

 

It isn't working for him.
Sometimes I just think we should go back to arranged marriages!
I'm liking the advice I'm getting that he try to take someone out for a coffee. The point of a coffee would be to actually talk. He goes to clubs with live music and you cannot even hear each other.

 

The Coffee shop approach also sets everyone at ease due to a relaxed and sober atmosphere. The point becomes sipping coffee and conversing instead of trying to get laid.

 

This is excellent advice.

 

Just be paitent. It will happen in time.

 

I assume he's relatively young, probably around 22-25?

If he's a tradesman he doesn't have to go looking. Some highly educated girl who spends her days in an office surrounded by nerds will seek him out

 

Patience has always been the enemy of stability and love. It is very difficult to dwell in the lonely fog that becomes desperate need for companionship, but if a man can handle this temporary pain he usually emerges into bliss.

 

Check the beaches, the higher-end restaurants with bars where chicks might wait for a table or just enjoy a cocktail.
How about at work? I know that if you look at women in the workplace these days, you are toast. However, a woman has a way of
showing interest. I met my wife at work, and she showed absolutely no interest. Married for 33 years.

 

Gym is a great place to meet women since he has something in common to talk about. He could do the organized workout.

 

He just left for the beach. We'll see what happens!
I met my wife (29 years) at work but the shop was 50/50. Not so much for him in out door, somewhat dangerous (hospital number of times for stitches) heavy lifting HVAC type job.

 

Work environments come with many problems, between harassment and personnel problems it may be unwise. I cannot recommend this approach having been in the position of having to deal with love/lust struck employees.

Women online are no different than any other women. But you can meet a hundred women online, in the time you can meet a few at social events.

Just learn how to get to the coffee date as fast as possible, if he's interested. And master that.

 

Dating Advice for my son

Find a common interest and spend, spend, spend...

 

That's easy. The common interest IS spend, spend, spend. When I was young, they said I was generous. Now that I'm older, they say I'm a sugar daddy.

Offer to take her shopping for a gift, like a new pair of shoes. LOL!!! Women LOVE their shoes.

 

I don't know who those people are.

But marriage in the US is down I guess that's all men's fault.

 

Ohh, I'm pretty sure it's a lot older'n that.

 

Men want and need sex long before they should be getting married.

I was ready for sex by about age 10. I know by 13 I was so horny I was going out of my mind.

At this point, I don't recommend marriage until age 70.

 

This is a young bloke. He doesn’t need to be throwing out lures like that.
If he’s personable, employed, doesn’t have BO or halitosis and doesn’t leave the toilet seat up he’s a winner.
Get out of the clubs and go to other places where women go. Gym, as mentioned before is a good place.
Ask his mother where you find lots of women and no men.

 

Holy sht! 10? I was 13 and ready for action.

 

Here's some advice for your son.

Tell him to get to know women(or men for that matter, I honestly don't judge nor care) before even considering dating them. The longer the better. The longer you've known someone the higher the likelihood of your relationship being a successful one. There's a reason people who have been friends for years, end up dating and have a very long and lasting relationship is a thing.

Never rush into anything, especially not when it comes to finding a date or finding dateable candidates. This can and will have potential disastrous consequences further down the line.

Communication and honesty are keys to a successful relationship. Without these two, no matter the relationship it's bound to collapse sooner or later.
