Take female circumscision. Now 'female genital mutilation'
But abortion will never be renamed, 'unborn baby killing'

And capital punishment should be videod so people 'understand' state sanctioned killing
but we aren't to televise abortion, particularly late stage abortion.

I’ve never quite figured that out. If it’s so acceptable we should be able to discuss it in detail right?

The opposite is true. With abortion bans, there will be more Americans, mostly low income and minorities, who cannot afford the trips.

It started as a protest, but wound up as an insurrection/seditious conspiracy

    Insurrection is defined as follows:

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States

    1/6 fulfills that definition.

Seditious conspiracy is defined as follows:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both

Per highlighted, 1/6 fulfills that definition, as well.

Now, if you want to argue other attacks on gov buildings, etc., fulfill same, such as those attacks on property which arose from the BLM protests, note that the DOJ apparently reserves such charges for grave offenses, and the attack on the seat of democracy, i.e., the capitol building when there is a joint session of congress proceeding, is considered grave, they wouldn't consider an attack on, say, a major's office, especially when no one is there, an insurrection or conspiracy, it would be just a riot/vandalism, etc.

That's not a "definition". It's a statute (18 USC § 2383) that makes insurrection a criminal act, but it doesn't provide a definition of insurrection. It would be like if someone asked "what is jaywalking?" and you pointed to the municipal code that said "anyone who jaywalks is guilty of a class D misdemeanor, punishable by a fine up to $X".

Here, try reading this: FBI confirms there was no insurrection on Jan. 6 (it contains an actual definition of "insurrection")
