Despite Dems' mounting calls for Goya boycott, CEO refuses to apologize for Trump support

On Thursday, 7-9-2020 - Unanue insisted that the United States is "blessed" to have Trump for president, spurning calls for boycotts of the beloved, affordable brand.

He made the remarks at a White House event, saying, "We are all truly blessed ... to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder."

"We have an incredible builder, and we pray — we pray for our leadership, our president, and we pray for our country that we will continue to prosper and grow," he added.

What are the details?
Unanue appeared on Friday's broadcast of "Fox & Friends," where he said he would not apologize for the apparently controversial stance.

"It's suppression of speech," Unanue said of people demanding a boycott of the brand.

Among those calling for a boycott are Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), former Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro, and "Hamilton" star Lin-Manuel Miranda.

I just heard a great suggest from Guttfield. We need to start a website that exposes who the cancel culture complainers are and find out where they work and deluge their bosses with messages that their employees are attacking a company that feeds THOUSANDS for free every year wanting to put them out of business and that unless they fire these individuals their products will be boycotted.

 

They make a lot of great products.... we have some in our pantry right now...

We'll finish them off (can't waste food) then buy no more... I suspect there is a contamination of bad attitude in all of them going forward...

Yes, they stopped multi year commitments to organizations like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. They never ,
explicitly said they would permanently stop donating to organizations that discriminate against LGBTQ people — they just said they were changing itheir philanthropic giving model.

And, we've stopped buying spices, hot chocolate, or anything else from Penzey's Spices because the CEO of the company (situated in a lib-infested suburb of Milwaukee) has made a real point of spreading all kinds of hatred against Trump -- starting almost the moment he took office.
