Demanding a boycott because of an opinion. Ridiculous.

just curious what evidence you have to support this. it would appear that things have gotten much harder for putin since trump was elected. more sanctions. actually bombing their allies when they cross red lines, arming ukraine against them...fyi obama invited them in syria and did nothing after they invade ukraine.

then of course trump fighting against their partner in Venezuela...the guy that left adores...

seems the more flexible policies of obama are over....yet the putin puppets keep coming up with russian hoaxes

"With a limited budget of about $600 million annually, officials in charge of the stockpile focused on what they say was a more pressing priority: lifesaving drugs and equipment for diseases and disasters..."

Ever hear of the Party of NO?

    Of course you have.

"The limitations of the stockpile — valued at $7 billion — reflect challenges in what many experts say is an underfunded public health system that leans toward smaller inventories to hold down costs and looks to fast-moving private supply chain when crises emerge. Public health and emergency preparedness officials also say the stockpile’s budget lags the expanding threats of the past two decades — from terrorist attacks, to natural disasters to deadly infectious diseases."

The medical community tried to improve pandemic readiness during the Clinton years. But they didn't get far.

That has to do with the way politics devolves into reactionary responses without serious commitment. You only put up the stoplight after somebody gets run over..

So while Republican politicians are complete sh*ts, Dems are far from ideal.

One thing, Trump could have organised a much stronger response. He didn't because it would piss off his Cult. Which is to say you are trying to have it both ways.

    You can see the results.

With fond greetings to you and your wife, I suggest the following: https://www.amazon.com/Goya-Foods-Yellow-Rice-Mix/dp/B06XQ17X96

I hope I don't get busted for saying this, but after resisting signing up for Amazon Prime for years, I finally gave in earlier this year and became a member of it. It has turned out to be one of the better things I've ever done! Just sayin'.... Enjoy that shrimp and rice!

Now! If I could only find an AFFORDABLE kind of canned tuna-in-oil that does not (NOT) come from anywhere touched by the radiation pollution that contaminates the Pacific Ocean, thanks to the Fukushima Nuclear Reactor disaster over nine years ago. Tuna from Portugal seems like an option, but how do you know that what you're getting wasn't just re-routed from the Pacific...? Decisions, decisions!

My wife has been a Prime member for a long time. She linked my account with hers so I can use it but rarely do because I screw up the orders. Once I thought I was ordering one metal big big tin of Danish butter cookies. Somehow three tins showed up. I told my wife it was an accident she said BS so I have her order what I want.

Shrimp over rice was supper today. It was great. Too much shrimp comes from China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia. I had my dose of Agent Orange 50 years ago so I am careful of my source for shrimp. We Never never buy any food products from China or V, or T, or Indo.

This is what Stalin Russia was, and it's what America is becoming as financial oppression becomes the new dictatorship to the Stasi police.

Is there still news or info that the radiation pollution still contaminates the Pacific Ocean? I thought they had gotten Fukushima under control.

Conquered without firing a shot. The comparison I like to use when this sort of discussion comes up is Bond villains. Just look at how over time Bond villains changed from being murderous communist dictators bent on world domination to evil businessmen bent on making money.

    Fake News.

FL's death rate of 0.02% is half the US death rate of 0.04%

NY's death rate of 0.18% is 9 times FL's rate, so yeah, that's a lot worse.
    NJ 0.17%
    CT 0.12%
    MA 0.12%

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Do you ever double check things or do you pretty much just repeat what the lying fake news tells you?

Infections are surging, hospitals are filling up, deaths are mounting. But you're saying its "fake news" because some statistical manipulation, aka "death rate", is not currently as bad as it was in other states? Not that I'm trying to be insulting when I ask this but, can you take a moment and consider how cold, callous, and downright moronic that is? And if you do and choose to stand on your original statement then please tell us how many Floridians have to die for it not to be "fake news" anymore.

It's 1/9th the death rate of NY.
1/6th the death rate of NJ and CT and half the death rate of the United States.

Direct me to your outraged posts about the death rates in those 3 states, until then it kinda looks like you are just parrotting some of the dumbest commentary on Lying Fake News and slandering a state that's done one of the better jobs.

24 States have done a worse job than Florida.
23 Nations have done a worse job than FL, yet you and the Lying Fake News can't shut up about FL.

    Why is that?

You asked me that already and I told you I didn't make any about those specific states because I don't live there. But these pointless comparisons are starting to piss me off so I'm thinking this is the last time I respond to anything you say on the COVID topic. Before I go let me just point out this one thing to you: its ignorant and foolish to treat COVID like its some localized frozen in time event. The situation is constantly evolving.

Today's hotspot was yesterday's safe haven. A month ago my county had 36 cases, today its over 500, in a week it will be 10,000 and just as the cases mount so to will the deaths. You can cling to this death rate comparison for the time being but soon that paper shield will be taken from you because our infections and deaths are rising - and THAT'S the point. We don't want to become to next NY or NJ, but that's where were headed in large part due to people who justify inaction by clinging to insurmountable ignorance.

But since you don't seem to care at all about the lives lost in Florida I leave you with an ever solidifying truth that you might care about: Pres Trump is going probably to lose Florida in November. Because the one thing that the science-denying Gov DeSantis re-open crusade and the anti-mask "covid is a myth" crowd all have in common: GOP ideology. This purple state is likely about to dump the right in a big BIG way. So if that happens and Pres Trump comes up shy of 270 you just think back to this moment when you and other GOPers wrote off Floridian deaths as "fake news".

In a month we went from an over week average of 1150 new daily cases to one of about 12,000 with a new all time highest spike of 15,000. Our dying countrymen aren't fake news and going forward anyone who says that to me is going to have a place on my ignore list.

Yes, I have heard that deflection before. Doctors and virologists have explained many times that the more telling factor is the positivity rate therein - which in Florida's case is outpacing its testing expansion. Check the link below and scroll down to the graph plotting Florida's cases vs positivity rate over time pre and post re-open crusade.
