Why would FEMA say they built a bunch of camps if they never did? What was operation Rex 84 all about? What were all those empty camps in all those photographs?

 

They earmarked confirmed appropriations on the books and we know a minimum amount spent. What I meant was, we don't know the total extent of how much is actually being spent. But we do know that they don't want us to know how much is being spent. Which says it all..

If we can't see the final price paid, I suppose that the DHS could be ripping off the taxpayers by paying far more than market value for the ammo, correct? Granted, cost overruns are a Bad Thing, and to be avoided. I just wish that We The People had demonstrated the same amount of concern when the Bush administration was literally dumping million-dollar boxes of US currency over Afghanistan. Or when the F-35 became a white elephant for the DOD.

Speaking of the DOD, right now we have a big problem with the USAF officers whose hands are literally on the actual "red buttons" that could create a nuclear holocaust. When it comes to proportion and value, I'm less worried about price-gouging for shotgun shells when the people who could blow the world up cheated their way into those bunkers. Why is nobody screaming bloody murder over this problem, I wonder?

You wouldn't have to get rid of the welfare state.. Simply make residence history a qualifier for them. I know it's possible, because that's how it was when I came to UK... "No recourse to public funds" it says on my permits. If you apply for benefits, it asked you where you lived and when and you must supply proof. Just make it the same for the Mexicans. In fact, everything could be sorted if instead of welfare it were workfare.

It's not going back. The immigration boom fuelled advancement, development, improvement of infrastructure and is what helped allow the seamless and successful incorporation of the industrial revolution. So immigration influxes don't necessarily hurt, as they have been shown in the past to help. If they can improve the economy then they could do it now perhaps.

Although in all honesty, NOW it wouldn't work so well, because the economy has transformed away from production and tangible assets, to fake financial products, "services" and unemployment. With jobs being exported instead. Hell, they don't even need human beings to trade stocks anymore. So yeah, nowadays immigrants aren't as useful. That's not because immigration can't be useful, but because the anti-free market capitalist system we've got simply can't afford enough jobs.

I have dealt with lots of Hispanics and the pattern is clear: illegal entry followed by popping out lots of babies on the medicare dime (your money and my money); file for ITIN for themselves and all of their nieces and nephews back in Mexico; filing of fraudulent tax returns claiming these dependents; receive thousands of dollars in tax credits i.e. payments with your money and my money; food stamps for their U.S. born children. Heck, just ask one.......they are proud to tell you they are completely scamming the U.S. tax payer.........its no big secret. Their scam relies on people like you sticking their head in the sand....pretending its not happening.......instead of being outraged........they love you man.....

 

America can always use more scientists and engineers.

We are not growing enough of them in America so immigration of high skill individuals and their immediate family.

We don't have enough of those skills and too many women's studies and other soft subjects.

What we definitely have too many of are low education illegal aliens.

Hold on there, money in the Medicare trust fund in no longer "your money" or "my money". When workers in the US, be they US citizens or not, pay their payroll, 1099 or other income taxes, that money is held in trust to be paid out later to US citizens when they need it.

So if you are claiming that an illegal immigrant got Medicare payments, I'm afraid that you're not telling the truth.

The individual taxpayer identification number is a number, not a Medicare benefit. And it's worthless outside of the US, and can't be used to get money.

Now that's completely dishonest.

If a person got a job, filled out a W-4 or 1099, worked hard enough to pay lots of money into the US Treasury, that was never your money! If that person is an illegal alien, he or she would never be eligible for benefits, so if that person gets some of their withholding back, there's no harm, no foul. We still get free tax money from the illegals! Needless to say, if they don't work, they have nothing to file a tax return for.

Your 'Hispanic' friends are probably not Mayans like the vast majority of those invading from the South over the past 25 years.........the majority of the Mayans are doing exactly what I described. They are not getting 'some of their withholding back'.........I have seen Mayan tax returns where the person paid in like $500 in withholding and got back like $8000 because they claim 10 dependents living back in Mexico.
