You consider the 'freedom' to murder people the summit of your society's development then? God help you, poor, grovelling peasants! Eff off out of our countries and stoop trying to control us and you can shoot one another stone dead as soon as you like, jackboots.

You also do not seem to understand responsibility, which I would expect from someone that wishes to suckle on the government teat. Jackboots come from statist societies like you wish for, not from freedom but then I did not expect you to understand even that.

Your perception is skewed by arrogance and ignorance. I have weapons because I am allowed to. I do not carry weapons unless I intend to use them.

Well over 99% of the population never shoot another person in civilian life.

So ask yourself; who is being shot? Mostly people who have a negative effect on society.

Capitalist states are controlled by capitalists, jackboots, and the means of control vary. Your racists have suddenly decided they can do without the State. Just wait and see what happens if their right to thieve and exploit and cheat and lie and dominate should be threatened. Mug!

The only entity that can enforce it's will by force is government. Again I do not expect statists to understand that.

People that do not believe in complete government control are now Racist? Getting a little desperate aren't you?

Well you are racists, surely? Why else are you against your extremely conservative President?

The Government of any capitalist state is the central committee of the capitalist class, you silly old soak. What does it matter how it organises its thieving? Only sociialism will ever abolish the state, but you are not allowed to know that, are you, peasant?

Being against (voted the most liberal Senator) Obama makes one a racist? Wow, amazing reasoning there all right.

Socialism abolishes the state? Kidding right? Socialism is entrusted to state control for implementation and the stepping stone for communism, which is complete state control.

Depends on your view of 'freedom'

    Example:

A chatter on another forum, a texan who took great pride in his state and when he wasn't condeming the rest of the usa for their non godly texan ways, He was explaining texan gun rights. That in his view, it is perfectly legal to shoot someone if they stepped on his front lawn.

Well i have said before i prefer less guns. But this topic is beyond me for links/stats. Out of my depth with yourself and Reiver. I do enjoy reading though.

Although i do wonder with multiple sources of data, does it confuse the issue.

The real issue is freedom, not gun ownership. Do you feel comfortable with freedom? I would guess that those opposed to gun ownership are not.

Well, i still have freedom if i don't have guns. But that is a seperate idealistic/philosophical point for another topic.

You don't have freedom if you are forced to give up your arms for idealism. No matter what you think the issue is, freedom is at the base, so it is not another topic. It is the foundation of the topic.

If don't have a gun, use a butter knife, they can be deadly.

    {{""If you did understand it you'd have responded to my reference to problems in international comparison""}}

First, this is the U.S., not the world. Second, we have plenty of places in this nation that baned guns to compare with. Now, it doesn't take much to count dead bodies or how they were killed. It doesn't take an indepth analysis when gun restrictions are lifted and the crime rate drops in every city it has happened in. You are staining at gnats and swollowing camels

The published peer reviewed empirical evidence doesn't agree with you!

I wasn't the one that referred to international comparison. That comparison, however, wouldn't favour your position.

You've again provided no evidence, just poorly done spurious relationship. You'd at least have to refer to an empirical study that attempts a natural experiment design. As we know, the evidence does indeed show that gun control is successful in reducing death rates (through a mixture of homicide and suicide)

That covered Gun Crime not the total crime rate.

Ah. Ruger has a new gun out. It's called "The Congress". It doesn't work and you can't fire it.
