If you believe this, you are beyond hope to change you. That is the most brainwashed statement in history.

Don't you just hate it when an elected official carries through with an objectionable campaign promise like "...skyrocketing energy costs?"

I think the EPA has gotten way off course. They have gone from a regulatory and reporting role to an agenda driven advocacy group with enforcement power. We need to fire everyone working there and start fresh.

There are over 6,000 items made from plastic, many of them lifesaving. Which would you care to cut? Defibrillators perhaps, or syringes, maybe the tubes that carry glucose, false teeth, hearing aids, combs, toothbrushes...Lord, I can't list all of them but modern life uses plastics. You can use whatever you want, but for now this is the best we have...yeah, I can just see metal shopping bags!

There's not a bit of propaganda in my post. What's more, you know it.

Well we do know that any tax placed on those companmies will be paid by us, atthe pump.

In fact, taxing oil is really just taxing us end users.

We do KNOW that the politicianslead us to believe we are really gatting after those bad bad oil companies by fining and tax them, as if they actually pay for stuff oit of their own pockets, instead of putting such costs on the price they must charge to ake the profits they earn for Stock Holders.

We do know that the executives are hired based on the confodence that they are trhe very guys who can maximize profits which the shareholders get in the form of dividends.
We do know that millions of little share holders are thereal owners of Big Oil.

These little owners are not rich, but probalbly retired on a fixed income, the Oil dividends being the source of the fixed income.

What we do not know is why Obama is so hard on the oil companies and why the media is making the oil companies look so rotten.

We COULD suspect that a take over is coming.
    Chavez did it.
    The Russians did it.
    The Chinese did it.

They realize that energy is really the one thing that every business and home and person uses.
So, taking over the energy, being able to raise the price of energy , is a way to get the revenue called Taxes under other conditions.

We could suspect that the government has lands with Oil Reserves, which once the government acquires the Oil ompanies and Nationalizes them, they can tax us indirectly and we will never even know it, nor would the House of Representatives need ever again use its constitutional power of Taxation.

The President will be able to tax us without representatives in Washington even involved.

The Funny thing is that the EPA is actually the creation of the owners of the major oil companies.

The Hegelian dialectic, one can guess the solution ;)
