If you are interested in absolute accuracy in the result, yes. I'm only interested in knowing that the increase is rapid and will be devastating unless we do something to mitigate it.

    Nope doesn't bother me.

What bothers me is no one has a realistic solution.

It may not be a scam it is scientifically proven in fact. But the proposed solutions always seem to involve socialism.

Ok. So I guess you're saying I shouldn't expect anything from you? I mean, given that you're the only one saying that.

Yes. For example, Trump refuses to provide the "Cost-benefit" of leaving the Paris agreement. But I know the benefit: nothing. Same goes for the moral value. The cost is probably unquantifiable.

You realize, I hope, that making a wild statement and then saying "you go look for my arguments" is a typical, definite and unequivocal sign that you haven't, right?

It also proves that you're a charlatan not worth wasting my time with.

And no. I wouldn't go looking for something that doesn't exist.

The benefit is economic growth. There is no significant reduction in global average temperature in the Accords.

I’ve done my homework. Time for you to do the same. And the basis for my statement very much exists.

I don't think the disagreement here is that people want a healthy environment. I mean maybe there are some people out there that want to kill the last elephant and burn down a forest. But they ain't normal.
More than anything people want cheap energy. So what's the plan here?

And they get hundreds or even thousands of results in which some might be accurate, many will be wrong and with no way to know which is which.

They run them under different assumptions, each with different results without knowing which is correct, if any is correct. They won't know which is correct until the forecast target year. That is less than helpful.
That does not solve the problem of how much is actually generated which was my point.
You are not interested in absolute accuracy? Absolute, of course is impossible, however, when you are making forecasts for a target time frame decades from now, the rate of change is of paramount importance.

It is the perversion of science by ideologues. The current regime's scrubbing the data of the Environmental Protection Agency does not alter the facts contained therein that are antithetical to its dogma and, as you note, progress is a global reality that denial can only impede, not prevent.

I thought it was climate change and not global warming.

The democrats are flexible. When the temperatures go down, it is climate change. When they go up it is global warming.

There is no "solution", but mitigation of predicable disastrous consequences necessitates a multiplicity of sensible measures to reduce the emission of industrial greenhouse gasses.

The scare tactic of "Socialism!" is the boogie man by which reality-denying ideologues attempt to thwart progress by evoking their taboo. In reality, all advanced, capitalistic democracies are pragmatic constructs that conscientiously promote the common good. In the US, the sprectre of "Socialism!" was evoked to demonize such institutions as Social Security and Medicare, but the will of the People prevailed.

Abdicating global leadership is not on the interests of the United States.

    Bingo.

The left is taking advantage of the situation to advance its agenda, but enacting that agenda will have no impact on the climate.

The 2.5 micron particulate data on which the previous EPA based its "clean power act" has never been released or repeated. There is existence proof that the conclusions based on that data are erroneous. I and millions of Californians are living proof of that. But the economic damage which the "kill coal" regulations along with ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank are very easy to see. The real politization of science is clear.

And that could as well show you that while you were busy absorbing all the case data for global warming, you did not focus on and are naive about the forces of natural forces. We have the ability to screw things up. That is not only certain, it seems to be what humans excel at. That does not put us in control of virtually anything other than our own actions. While we might be able to stop the things we are doing wrong, we do not have the ability to alter the things that are the process of nature. If we did, we would have already turned off the volcano in Hawaii, because it's putting an awful lot of gas in the atmosphere and changing the geography of the island.

We see things like this that are fast and obvious. Other things are slow and relentless, and get little attention except from the scientists who have special interest in them- such as trhe internal changes in the sun's magnetic field happening now, and how that relates to conditions that cause major earth cooling.

The Paris Climate Accord is a comprehensive, global climate agreement (that Trump and Assad abjure) whose objective is to keep Earth’s temperature below 1.5ºC above pre-industrial levels, invest $100 billion a year to address the adverse impact of climate change, and lower greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. The vast majority of climate scientists agree the Earth is warming due to an increase in greenhouse gases, much of which is produced by human activity.

Apparently, there remain some isolated ideologues whose dogma makes them deny science. Prominent among them is Trump who has alleged - as usual, without any evidence or explanation - that anthropogenic climate change is a hoax that is being perpetrated by China.

It's difficult to find any rational people who buy Trump's bizarre explanation..

You seem to have this problem- assuming that you know everything, and that what you believe is accurate. I don't think you question your own perception beyond a cursory look, and that is one jaded by your own self-confidence. That shuts the door to all that you don't know, and affirms the things you believe. That is a common flaw of intelligence, and I'm in a position to know. I think I'm a lot older than you- and I've worked on the concepts of how we think, how we tune our minds, how we develop wisdom and good judgment for a very long time.

Let me suggest you take up the study of Critical Thinking. It's not just an idea, it's got to be a practice and principle of mental discipline. You may think you know about it and think of yourself as a person using it, but I don't see the presence of it in the way you respond and post.

Here's a starter kit that explains more about it.

The funny thing is that people have the strange idea that being a scientist makes one incorruptible. That isn't so. If the government is willing to pay for x research results and not anything contrary to it the government will get x research results especially so when the subject in question is the very model of Chaos and damn near anything is possible over time.

Ideologues cherry-pick scientific data continually to prop up their dogma.

Climatological scientists incorporate that data into their comprehensive calculations that are continually being refined.
