I didn't vote for him, so I'm not bothered by it but if I had voted that way I'd be pissed off, considering how he made a point to look into the cameras and said I will never lie. Hes Putins puppet and will do as told

That I think is generally right, but I simply find it disingenuous of our president to do the opposite of what he said so very many times. Almost like his no new taxes moment.

    - - - Updated - - -

Obama is not the president nor the thread topic.

No. I despise the Clinton political machine.I certainly did not vote for Hillary nor did I ever support her.

Not justifying anything. Just that this very old mantra about tax returns is irrelevant. Some folks act everyone decides whom to vote for based on tax returns. They don't. What we have here is SOS, but a different day.

Do I like the idea of a President Trump, I don't. But whether or not he released tax return has nothing to do with my dislike of Trump being president. Bet you defended Obama to the hilt when he said, "If you like your doctor, you can keep him, if you like your insurance, you can keep it, period!" That turned out to be not true and a bunch of Republicans accused him of lying. Did he? Well, what he said sure wasn't the truth.

For me the issue of tax return is nothing more than partisan politics, always has been. Time to move on.

Releasing tax returns is a campaign stunt.
Kind of late for that now.

Well that's not true. Obama released the short form COLB in 2008.

Of course he isn't going to release his tax returns. He never had any intention of releasing his tax returns. Just like he had no intention of turning over his business empire to a blind trust.

Which will inevitably be why he gets impeached.

Well, I think that when he says he will do one thing, saying it many times, and then does the opposite I think it is very relevant.

Trump is responsible for his own "gotcha." He said, "absolutely" he would release them and now he's proven that was a lie.

Okay, I don't because I don't give a hoot about anyone's tax returns. But did you think it was very relevant when Obama said many times, "If you like your doctor, you can keep him?" Only to find out quite a lot of people couldn't because of the way Obamacare was written. The same with their insurance policies. Was that also relevant? Or didn't you care?

Most things like this is purely partisan politics to me. Like I said, one side wishing or wanting a gotcha to make the other side or candidate look bad. Happens all the time.

I'm not worried about tax returns and as I said, no one else is either except Democrats and those who dislike Trump. The one's who would never vote for him anyway even if he did. How many people, voters if you will do you think would have changed their vote from Clinton, Johnson or Stein for that matter, to Trump if he would only have released his tax returns? I think none.

If I had my way, Trump wouldn't be president today. Now that doesn't have a thing to do with tax returns one way or the other. What was important to me was having a decent candidate opposing Trump, the Democrats didn't offer one of those either. When I balance things out, decent candidate vs. tax returns, I am more irate that neither party offered a decent candidate than rather one did or didn't, does or doesn't release his tax returns.

Jeez, too bad for Trump. You libs should make a huge issue out of it in 2020, perhaps the only issue. It will completely ruin his chances to get reelected, he'll lose in a landslide, I am telling you, no one votes for a candidate until they see their tax returns, not a single American :roflol:

So Obama saying something justifies Trump's lie?

Not happy with the bar you set? Should've thought of that eight years ago.

I seriously doubt any journalist would understand a billionaire's tax return if were given to them on Cliff's Notes. They would just take the information, parcel out bits and pieces and create some more fake news. I really can't blame him. I'm pretty sure he filed all the necessary paperwork and disclosures required by law. Not certain that is for public scrutiny or not. Maybe, maybe not. I honestly don't know.

It doesn't matter. Time to ignore Trump.. He'll be tweeting. Pence will be running the country.
