The alternative to standing openly and unarmed in the streets whilst blood-crazed junta mercenaries take shots at you is to arm yourself and go underground. I find it quite contrary to my own disposition that Egypt's democratic population should choose the former. It's really quite sickening that international condemnation of the coup has been timid, luke-warm or absent.
Obama is mumbling ' not really a coup '. Tony Blair- laughingly known as a Middle East Peace Envoy- has said that the junta was trying to prevent " chaos ". Only the EU has suggested a break with relations with the Egyptian slaughterhouse managers.

Just what do the Brits think that the Egyptian junta is going to do with the arms which they supply to it ?

This is most definately a right wing military coup.

It's disgusting watching conservatives in the US pretend that the Egyptian army is "restoring democracy"

I fully expect the army to crush the Muslim Brotherhood, and conveniently purge any other political opposition that happens to come along in the bargain.

Then they will stage show elections, install their man in the President's office, and rule by marshal law.

Guns are supplied and manufactured worldwide are cheap and readily available, as are rocket launchers, tanks, fighter jets, subs, everything but nukes and pre 1920 JD eight valve Harley Davidson’s. (lol). Freaking JC, I would be willing to bet even low yield nukes are available for the right price! The problem is not the gun or the gun suppliers, nor weapons, or the saturations per capita of AK-47 to each MB. Nor is it military aid and or weapon give aways of any type. So list , say, three satanic things that ' satan ' did in office Morsi is on the toe end of the fascist boot because he , and his party, are muslim. This coup is an Islamophobes dream come true.

 

I've been wrong about a lot of things in life. One of my big sins is lumping Abu in with those creepy weirdos that do stuff like what he posted and not seeing the human in him. They'd Hopefully use the arms to restore and maintain LAW + ORDER and not surrender Egypt' to mob rule.

.... One can also only hope Egyptians are not subjected to years of pain as the masses did in the Algerian armed conflict between the Algerian government and various Islamist rebel groups during the 1990s .

In some countries the disciplined military are far better capable of maintaining Law + order than revolting rabble who've been roused by deviously crafty + corrupt politicians.

I guess the muslim brotherhood doesn't like it when they are the ones being slaughtered. Weren't they the ones celebrating 9/11 and the deaths of innocent Americans? Seems like a classic case of dishing it out but not being able to take it.
