The electoral college needs to vote according to the popular vote winner in their respective states. I know the law doesn't say they have to do this, but it damn well should.

I'm someone who spent months trying to get Trump supporters to stop living in fantasyland about their candidate of choice and even I'm not in favor of any kind of electoral college rebellion.

You don't think what the American people want matters?

I don't know where you're getting that idea, so stop trying to put words in my mouth. What I'm saying is those two states don't get to determine who is president. It's why the electoral college exists. Those 3 million votes are found just in California and New York.

The american people didn't want Obamacare and got it.

The states have spoken: Trump 30 Clinton 20. Those are the only numbers that matter.

Short sighted morons and their liberal clueless handlers..

I don't know what you are saying, which is why I asked. You seem to be objecting to people in NY and CA being able to vote. Or else, so what

Complete nonsense. Clinton got votes in all 50 states. Only if you said voters in CA and NY can't vote would that make a difference.

No, more the American people voted for Clinton by about 3 million.

What are you blathering about? We don't choose a president by state votes.

"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. The phony electoral college made a laughing stock of our nation. The loser one! This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our nation is totally divided! The world is laughing at us. Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before

We can't let this happen. Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country."

I guess Donald is a liberal.

There is no revolt. I don't even see protests anymore.

Most Americans are glad Trump is the president-elect and they're willing to give him a chance.

Nope, we're smarter than the wailing Democrats. It would go to the house, one vote per state and Trump would still be president.

Hillary was focused on winning the popular vote rather than the electoral college vote? Maybe she was drunk or something?

Running up the vote in New Orleans and Chicago was she was losing MI PA and WI? She may be dumber than many poodles, certainly she isn't as sober.

I was wondering they must vote for the people that won the States in a good number of cases and further in other States the parties will expect it of the Electors where no law applies but could they opt to show up and just not cast the ballots at all? Is it under some law they must cast ballots on Dec. 19th or is it they can show up and refuse to participate and vote thereby holding off Trumps progress indefinitely or until courts act in the matter forcing the issue.

Oh, you might mean making fun of the hypocritical democrats.[/QUOTE]I guess you missed the people talking about revolt and rebellion if the EC didn't elect Trump.

And again, you forget the hypocrisy of the Trumpeters.

Dems: The EC violates the will of the people! The people should elect the President, not the EC!
Trumpeters: Lol, those are the rules. Too bad. The EC is awesome!
Dems: Uh, what if the EC doesn't go your way?
Trumpters: Bu . . but the will of the people! The people should decide, not the EC!

    It never stops being funny.

Nobody is trying to overturn the election. We are just trying to show that YOU DON'T HAVE A MANDATE, and you DON'T, not when you LOST the popular vote. Trump is President, that is undeniable but NOT because the majority of the American people wanted him OR approved of his policies, that much is undeniable too and his Administration should at least acknowledge that fact and stop acting as if we're ALL hardshell reactionaries, eager to throw our grandparents onto the street and send their SS checks express to the Koch Brothers.

What would you do, go down the street and shoot up some Taco Belles, lynch a Muslim or two, burn down the Democrat Club, what??

They're willing to give him a chance but I know many people who even voted for him that are not happy he is President

I think the EC shouold do its constittuional duty and protect the nation from a guy his own party describes as utterly amoral," a "pathological liar" "fraudster," “narcissist" "phony" "dangerous national security risk" "con man" "national embarrassment", and who probably get selected only because of the influence of our enemy.

But they won't. The EC is full of elite establishment party lackeys, the same folks Trump voters thought they were voting against.

Are you suggesting special snowflakes would get upset and protest and burn flags?

    - - - Updated - - -

You mean tantrums like the above? It sounds like it would be more than a tantrum.

That fact that you even suggest Clinton as the alternative to your ill-conceived perception of corruption in Trump is so laughable it doesn't even deserve a response.

There's really no point in refuting something that laughable, and as I pointed out with the video's, it's irrelevant.

    Clinton lost. Progressives lost.

Based on your doubling down of progressive ridiculousness, you will continue to lose.

In some states the EC must vote the way the state populace voted.
    In others they can choose.
The OP says 20 are considering going against the populace. If not coerced in any way and not in a state where they are force to vote, then there'd be nothing illegal about it.
    And should be accepted.
That is how the system is set up, yes?
