She clearly looks like she is of Germanic extraction, but what do I know being that I am not a geneticist?

 

I think that warren made her claims based upon what she alleges that her mother told her.
So the pertinent issues are. Did HER MOTHER. lie to her....or did warren lie in saying that her mother told her about native american heritage. Presumably concrete proof will be presented on either of these issues

 

All she ever claimed was that she had Native American ancestry as told to her by her parents/grandparents.

That appears to be truth, something which doesn't seem to matter in politics today.

She does have Native American ancestry even if it is six to ten generations ago. It's a real thing which can no longer be refuted.

Trump was being an absolute racist when he inferred that just because she looked white she must be lying about her heritage. She wasn't; she was telling the truth and that will remain the truth going forward.

I see this from a personal perspective because even though you'd probably look at me and see an African-American I have Native American ancestry close enough to qualify for tribal citizenship. I've never claimed it but I would be very offended if anybody thought that should be denied merely on the basis of appearance.

In this instance her claim has been vindicated and, as usual, the real exaggerator and outright liar has been Donald J. Trump who owes her a million bucks and is cheating on the deal, again!

Warren cannot qualify to be a member of any native American tribe.

I don't believe she ever claimed that she could. I could, but I've seen folks who look far more Indian than me that couldn't.

The reporting seems to vindicate her claim to the extent that she made it.

Why not, who cares? The fact is the claim she made was true to the extent that she made it. It may have been a sense of pride that her parents passed down to her. Others with the same or even closer ties might not even know.

What's happening here is people are implying that she somehow claimed she was a full-blood or half-blood or even 1/4 blood. She never did and now she's being admonished for not living up to a standard she never even set for herself.

I have also seen zero evidence that she used her claims to further her career.

 

She went along with being listed as a minority.
