Don't you think if Hillary was truly against Citizens United she'd not accept donations that fall under the Citizens United umbrella?

Trump has it just as hard as people who do heavy labor? What a strange thing to say. Yeah, it must be hard being a trust fund baby who has never known a day of insecurity or want; and I'm sure he sacrificed much when he turned 6 million into a supposed fortune.

Of course we will never know how much he is truly worth because he won't release his tax returns. He could be in massive debt as far as we know. It is too hard to believe that a multi-billionaire would have to use Trump Foundation money to pay his legal bills. Something doesn't add up with him. I am not a cheerleader for Hillary by any means, but in this case, I think she is the best candidate. I tried to get behind him, because of his stand on illegal immigration and immigration in general, but there is something about him that isn't true.

IMO, Trump is a childish, spoiled boy who would probably flunk a political science exam. The thought of him with his thumb on the nuclear button is scary

Just a little rant while I anxiously await the debate. LOL

I don't know about Trump flunking a political science exam, but you'd definitely fail a Taxes101 test. Net worth and debt aren't reported on personal or any other taxes.

As far as Trump being a spoiled boy is concerned, he must have done something right, given that he turned a borrowed million into billions. There were hundreds of developers like Fred Trump in Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten island, Manhattan, they had thousands of offsprings but just one of them, Donald J. Trump has succeeded beyond anyone's wildest dreams and built a global multi-billion business empire.

No, those are the rules the conservatives wanted, and have defended.

She will attack Citizen's United. But she has to win first.

I don't hold that against him. I do hold it against his son who claims his father came from almost nothing. I don't hold the wealth against them, just the claim that Donald Trump (sr) was a self-made man who started with almost nothing.

The borrowed million into billions is a lie (which we have documented for you many times before). You keep repeating it, which makes you either a liar or a fool.

Trump could not pass a sixth grade civics test or the US citizenship test.

He is counting on the sort of lies and bluster that folks like you eat up like catnip.

She is accepting all those donations that are covered by Citizens United. If she truly believed they were wrong, she'd reject them. Her actions clearly speak louder than her meaningless lip service.

The million dollars he borrowed from his father is chump change compared to the $40 to $200 million he inherited from his father. I heard tell that Trump is only worth $125 to $250 million. That being the case, and I suspect it is, he hasn't earned much since he inherited his trust fund. First he builds skyscrapers and casinos that he has to sell because he can't pay the loans, then he 'stars' on a stupid shows. The very fact that he is a reality TV host, and associated with phony wrestling shows should raise some eyebrows as to his qualification to be one of the most important people, if not the most important person in the world. Does America deserve a pathological narcissist, reality TV show host as president?
As for his taxes, maybe his taxes would shine a light on why this super-duper businessman had to use funds from the Trump Foundation to pay his legal fees. Maybe they would shine a light on how much he has made, and how much he has donated over the years. I think a few years of tax filings would tell a lot about his financial situation.

He borrowed a million and 40 years later he has billions. Thousands of children of other local developers in NYC, LA, Boston etc aren't even on the radar and he runs a global extremely successful and profitable business empire. What's your problem?

We went over this before. He got his inheritance in 2000 when his own business was 30 year old and he had made his own hundreds of thousands of millions if not a billion.

No, personal income tax won't have an answer to any of the questions you ask. Talk to your accountant for more info on what is and what isn't reported on individual income tax returns but none of the things you claim to be interested in is there.

You're just throwing mud and hoping something will stick. It won't.

I was a medical science major in school, not an economics major; but I do know that if Trump had nothing to hide he would produce his tax returns. If I was a self-made billionaire, like you claim Trump is, I would be proud to show my tax returns--especially if I was running for president.
As far as how much a tax return would tell about a person, it would be interesting to find out how much he makes in one year, and how much in taxes he paid.

You are a die-hard Trump fan. I am a I-hate-them-both person. There is nothing anyone could say to me that would make me want to vote for a reality TV 'star' that wears a pathological comb over.

Hillary Clinton had her family in bankruptcy three times during her trading in cattle futures, it was her political privilege and illegal trade deals that saved her and ended up with $100,000 in her pocket while the brokers went to jail.

And the Clinton's do? Spare me. They have lived a life of special privilege and favors not based on their own personal accomplishment but because of the political power and influence they have welded.

And you want corporations to build factories and businesses in the inner city? Have you seen how the people in those inner-cities behave and how they treat those businesses and people who have tried that? They rob and steal and burn down those that attempt to do so.

    - - - Updated - - -

What are you claiming he is hiding in his income taxes? They don't tell you very much that matters you know.

Something that the trump spawnlings would know nothing about. They'll just spend their life looking like dbags till daddy kicks the bucket and leaves them a pile of money. It's the trump way.

Exactly, you're not an economics major, nor is the average Joe, what exactly do you expect to understand? You won't understand a thing and you won't get your answers anyway, he can pay himself an annual salary of $1 and that's what will be reflected on his return but he will still own his multi billion dollar business.

But the libs and the media will have a field day lying, distorting, putting in negative light absolutely every number, every deduction and donation he has ever made.... And you won't have a clue thatthst you're being lied to because you're not an economics major. Duh Trump is filthy rich, not stupid :D

The fact that you continue to repeat a claim that was discredited long ago, and that you know was discredited long ago, makes you one of two things. A liar or a fool.

    Take you pick.

Nothing was discredited, the fact that he borrowed $1 million in the early 70s can't be challenged, the fact that he is a billionaire many times over today is hardly debatable. It's all well documented, Tom, Google it, Google can be your friend.

The real question is whether that - and his father co-signing his early loans - is starting with "almost nothing". There are millions of Americans who would love to have that much "nothing".

His son is peddling him as a rags-to-riches American dream story. That just isn't true.

I've seen both lifestyles, and I assure you the lifestyle of someone with a 24 hour responsibility at Trump's level in no easier. There is both physical and mental stress, and much of the money they personally receive is to alleviate the results of that.

We all make our own choices.

I like him because I see him as a doer, not a talker. We need doing.

This reveals you know nothing about how he has raised his kids. His oldest ones are running his business already.

To his son, who was born into great wealth, it is true. This is what we are dealing with in our elites. They have no clue.

It is only people like Trump, who have seen both sides, that can bridge the gap. That's what makes his candidacy so tempting to many of us. We see the potential despite the party label.

IMO Hillary bridges nothing...she sold out.

In what way has Trump "seen both sides"? He has never toiled at two minimum wage jobs to make ends meet. He did not have to (as I did) work 25-hour weeks while going to college, in order to make ends meet.

The OP is based on Trump's son saying that Trump started with "almost nothing". That is patently untrue and just shows how far out of touch the family is.

It shows how out-of-touch the son is.

I can understand you could be bitter at having had to work your way through school. Not everyone has the health or stamina to be able to do that. IMO it gave you an understanding of the value of labor and money that Trump's children will probably never have.

I am willing to concede Trump understands a bit more in part because of his contacts with workers and his military school experiences, which were probably a pretty rude awakening for him--but also because of the observations he has made about our economy. He seems to identify with people that need jobs. Many of our elites are and have been fully aware they have been exporting the jobs fellow citizens need, but they don't give a tinker's danmmn. Trump is the first to come forward and call them all on it in an extremely public and politically effective manner.

Parents do have the right to use some of their resources to provide their own children with better educations that they may have had access to themselves. This is one way society is able to advance. Additionally, it is one motivation for our more able to be productive, and that can eventually benefit all of us.
