I don't expect those who are bigoted to see beyond their own nose.

You really should understand a lot more than you do. Actually, I'm virtually certain you understand enough; don't try to waste my time.

We simply disagree. That about sums it up.

Yeah,I disagree with your baseless allegations about the content of my posts. Your unwillingness to simply copy and paste the post of mine you think was an attempt to dehumanize homosexuals, I believe is sufficient evidence that you cant

My protests about the meaning of the things you say, seem "baseless" to you. Sorry if I don't BUY your opinions hook, line and sinker. I wasn't born just yesterday.

I've learned enough in life to KNOW... that I disagree with you very much overall. Not only that, but that in spite of what you think is true/right... I've heard and read other things which show me what you are saying, certainly isn't all there is to consider or conclude. Others need to know that, so I'm right here to let them know (in some way; like a FLARE). No one has to accept or agree with all you are claiming in this forum.

Carry on, dixon. If nothing else, I'll let you know whether or not I disagree.

The sentiments of the national majority are mostly irrelevant because even Obama admits it is a State Right issue.

Queers in California have absolutely zero right to force Mississippi to accept their perverse unions.

In due time, the human rights issue that has been conveniently pushed just below the surface, will emerge; it is coming.

At that point, and with the proper case before a 'sane' USSC... homosexual people will cease being discriminated against. Really, the discrimination has gone on for far too long.

Your claims of civil rights jurisdiction over homosexuality akin to the cil rights struggle is bull (*)(*)(*)(*). Gays aren't a separate ethnicity with unique culture capable of being discriminated against.

Gays are no different than anyone else except for sexual orientation which is an voluntary activity.

Discriminating against gays is no worse than discriminating against soccer over American football. We're just trying to keep soccer players off the football field.

    Wrong.

The distinction of sexual orientation does indeed make gays an at risk minority.

Your own post makes that clear.

Funny how you defeat your own argument by making it in such a way.

At risk for what? The typical discrimination reserved by society for misfits and outcasts? So what?

You are the ones who do not understand! You are dinosaur on your way out of the real world, and you do notsee that you are breathing your last fetid breaths of prejudice.

Perhaps a summer of deliberation within the Supreme Court will grant you a real clue (or two).

Yes. What he just expressed is generally idiocy. It's as if he thinks other people cannot look at what's going on, and form a decent legal opinion.

We'll see what comes of arguments before the Supreme Court, this coming year.

..and gays will still be discriminated against, bullied and generally made miserble everywhere except a few pro gay enclaves.

No, I think anyone and everyone can be discriminated against, bullied and made miserable. The only difference is some people ask for it more than others. Gays would be one of those people.

Uh no, Bigotry is a natural part of society. It is those who wish to constantly push their views on others to stamp out such bigotry as "progress" in an overly coercive manner that trouble begins.

Some people should just accept that they are considered the scum of society and "know their place" until society of its own accord changes, with a minimum of social disruption.

As I said before, you are making the perfect counter argument against yourself just by posting in such a manner.

You really must have slept through history class.

Society doesn't just "change of its own accord" unless the status quo is challenged and indeed pushed back against.

Again, your own argument is a perfect characterization of what is the predominant problem in society.

    "Know their place"?

My "place", as an American citizen is to be treated equally under the laws of this country.
If you don't like it, sorry.

Nope. I am not going to change myself, just because you want me to.
I don't care what you think about me. And as I said in my 1st post in this thread, all these "approvals and support" numbers are "under the gun". 47% against gay marriage are a pretty good for "under the gun" numbers considering that anti-gay propaganda is outlawed and called "hate" and there is a heavy pro-gay propaganda, plus protection laws.

prejudice... What am I per-judging? I just find naturally sick what you do and I don't what to be around you. It's just judging. :)

You don't want to be around or associate yourself with anyone from the GLBT community...and yet here you are, in an entire forum dedicated to discussing the GLBT community. A bit odd if you ask me. =/
