Both seem like a stretch to me. With the NFL, it's too unpredictable and it's too early for me to say.

NCAA though? I don't see a single team in the country other than LSU that will even give the Crimson Tide a decent game. Too big up front.

I'm not as up on my statistcs this year...I'm just messing around.

Though, Oregon is a beautiful state...on the grounds of pure aesthetics, Oregon deserves a National Championship in something.
For too long they've suffered the slings and arrows of being a refugee State for the Socialist Republic of California...true Oregonians...not those
transplanted hippies from N. California...true Oregonians deserve a championship...

Onward Mighty Oregon, nevermind the naysayers....this Missourian is in your corner.

A toothless 83 year old woman doing a keg stand? Keeping it classy, LSU.

    hmmm

I say have Oregon play Boise State and we can have cupcake schedule vs cupcake schedule and totally discredit the championship game.

FSU will choke, mark my words!

Oregon is gonna get best by USC and Stanford.

Which leaves us with...... Yet again, the 2 best all around teams in college:

    Bama vs LSU.

Neither should lose a game this year, except when they play each other in a couple on weeks. For 2 years in a row, both teams will have lost to nobody but the #1 or #2 team in the nation, which is either one of them....lol.

The BCS is now putting the 2 BEST teams in the title game. Who else is there?

One of the major reasons FSU is picked to go to the NCG is that they don't play anyone of worth. The only way to stop them is to use this against them, but my guess is that the NCAA is desperate to get another team that is not an SEC team into the NCG. For this reason, I say they will be there.

Of course, Oregon is a possibility if they go undefeated. So I think either Oregon or FSU will be the sacrificial lamb in the NCG.

That way USC can play in their own backyard once again in the Rose Bowl as they beat up on the second best team in the Big 10 because Ohio State is banned from playing in a bowl.

Nobody, there's isn't a single team that even in the same ballpark as those two. I only hope my dawgs can give whichever one we play a good game in the SEC championship. I predict no less than 3 of the top 4 teams at the end of the year will come out of the SEC.

the Dawgs scare the bejeezus out of me. If I were Saban or Miles and in the SEC championship game I'd try and run up as many points as possible the first half because them dawgs wake up real angry in the 2nd half.

The FL/GA game is a good annual rivalry and i have a feeling the Dawgs are gonna give FL a beating that their own momma won't recognize them when GA is done with them.

I sure hope so. What worries me is that every single game this year our first quarter has been atrocious. We come out sloppy and have a hard time getting our act together before the second half.

This year I'm more excited about the Tennessee game that I am the Florida game, yea the world largest cocktail party is always a blast, but Tenn looks better than the Gators. If we win both, we're a sure bet for the SEC championship, if by some miracle we win it, we'll be playing for the BCS championship.

The dawgs are going to win the SEC east so there are no worries there. The dawgs would also be the reason that no SEC team is in the NCG if they end up winning the SEC crown.
(LSU beats Bama and then dawgs beat LSU in SEC championship)
Then we'd have pathetic Oregon against FSU. I believe those teams are evenly matched but neither would survive the Tide or even LSU. I fear the speed of Oregon would overwhelm GA for the first quarter and it would simply be a matter of whether or not the Dawgs could score enough points the final 3 quarters to overcome the Oregon lead from the 1st quarter..................unless Richt can figure out how to get the team out of the starting blocks.

To beat Oregon a team needs a top notch defense, something Georgia doesn't have. Oregon would hang 40 or more on Georgia, period. I don't think for a second Georgia is in the same league as Oregon.

Oregon has no defense either, they count on winning every game in a shoot out. Not to mention they don't play anyone all year, must be nice to be in the cushy PAC 10...

They don't have a great defense, correct, but I'd venture to say its better than what Georgia has showed this year. Offensively, Georgia doesn't have anything on Oregon. Do I think Georgia could put up 40 on Oregon? Highly doubtful, but I know Oregon could hang 40 or more on Georgia.

And as of right now, Oregon will be playing more top 25 teams than Georgia will be.

Not even comparable. Any quality SEC team (bama, lsu, uga, tenn, uf) would trounce any team in the PAC 10 as the SEC shows each and every year in the bowl games.

Because the BCS is crap that doesn't hardly factor in strength of schedule. The hardest game they have is against USC... who just lost to Stanford..... woohoo!

You are basically saying Tennessee, Florida, Georgia etc would be playing for a title this year if they were in the PAC 10, which is laughable. No need to argue such a goofy comment. Tennessee and Florida don't belong in the same sentence as Oregon this year.

And the BCS rankings are not even put yet, what the hell are you talking about?

on this you and I agree and thus why I do not rank the Ducks up with the Dawgs. The Dawgs right now are the #3 SEC team which is good enough to beat almost any team out there.................except these 2 little problems called LSU and Bama

    SEC baby!!!!! haters gonna hate

it's now the PAC 12. Look, I understand pride in the SEC but there is also foolish pride. The Gators are not on the same level as Oregon or USC. Tenn is not as well. But, they would give those teams a heck of a fight because you would have the cream of the PAC 12 playing mid carders from the SEC

The Hawgs should have been a tough team this year but between zipper-gate of Petrino, burglary-gate by several players and now bankruptcy-gate of coach Smith all of the off field stuff killed the team.

in any event, there is LSU and Bama, you then have a lower tier under that which includes Oregon because they will not get beat up because they play no team of any strength. But once more, the elite teams are SEC and it just grates on all of the other teams

    haters gonna hate

    SEC baby!!!

LOL. Lets not let on field performance dictate our opinions, lets base it on what they're ranked in their conference!! That line of logic is ridiculous, at best.

The fact of the matter is that if they were to play today on a neutral field, Oregon would be a decent betting favorite.

    FSU vs Clemson

this will tell you whether or not FSU is the real deal this year and worthy of a high level BCS bowl

the other must watch game is LSU vs Auburn

Saban sent a message to Miles last week with the 52-0 beat down of the Hawgs

What message will Miles send back at the expense of Auburn

this is gonna get nasty as these 2 titans head toward their meeting.

Beating up on horrible teams doesn't send a message. Both Auburn and Arkansas would get pounded by the majority of college teams this year.

Z E R O points scored by Arkansas. Only a powerhouse could accomplish that, The majority of teams could not do that to them. Put aside the coach getting fired and the new coach going through bankruptcy and just buried his brother. Put aside starting players dumped because they broke into dorm rooms and stole items

put aside those setbacks and distractions and despite it all, the hawgs would defeat most non SEC teams. There really is that much of a difference between mid card SEC teams and the majority of other teams.

and to that point is why Oregon is not regarded the same as LSU or Bama and Boise state is laughed at especially with such monumental games like their huge 7-6 victory over BYU, yes, the mighty BYU.

Are you yanking my chain? Arkansas got beat by Louisiana Monroe on their own field! Arkansas is not a mid level SEC team, they are at the bottom of the barrel in all of college football!

If the Irish go undefeated (stranger things have happened) they could play for the championship.

    A guy can dream.
