Forget NFL, it's college football time!!!!!!!!

Oh, one peeve I have about college football specifically is Boise State. Their field is an abomination, and their conference is weak. That's all I'll say on the matter...

P.S. - Was glad to hear they finally accepted reality and went with a playoff-based format. Who in their right mind thinks the playoffs are a financial liability?

The Irish won again so I will be happy for another week.

They didn't look that good...but not looking good is better with a win than a loss. I don't see them good enough to compete with an SEC team.

I'll take that one. As you can tell by my name here I'm just a wee bit supportive of a particular conference.

About the Hawgs, between Mr I can't keep it in my pants and got fired to Misters we can't keep our hands off of other peoples stuff in their dorm rooms the team was destined for malaise this season.

What's sad is that if Petrino (who is a dick by the way) could have been a little bit more rational, and the thugs a little less thuggish, the Hawgs would have been an excellent team.

But, it's the off-field stuff which ends up killing these teams.

 

Boise State has been a gnat. They play a cupcake schedule and then whine that they are worthy of playing in the championship game. Thankfully they've already lost. The rest of their schedule makes you chuckle.

Army-Navy is the best event of the college football season in my book.

 

I'd have to say Michigan v. Ohio State is the college game of the year. Those two teams, the fans...they genuinely hate one another.

Army-Navy has a rich tradition, but I don't think the animousity is on the same level...even as an intra-service rivalry.

 

Football fields are green, period. Their stupid-ass blue turf is just a lame gimmick. I don't even consider it football when they play on it.

 

As long as they don't play with a Blue football and that thing stays brown leather, I don't care what color the turf/field is.

It's actually a distraction to the opponents, which is smart. imo.

I think another school that's red, just painted their field red. do you know who I'm talking about? it looks cool too.

 

Why don't they just put some disco lights on the field while they're at it? No, guy, football is played on green fields, period. Anything else is just a gimmick.

I have a great reason to be upset. Their football field is stupid as hell. It's a giant blue puke stain. Call me old fashioned, but I think grass and turf should be green...

Why is it teams I hate flourish like weeds?

 

I support the USC portion but am on the fence about Bama.

There is a ravenous hunger out there to put lesser teams into the championship game vs another SEC team. I believe the politics which is the BCS would prefer a Big 10 team but they are terrible this year so that leaves them with the ACC as perhaps their savior. So, the cupcake schedule of FSU may well get rewarded because who wants to watch an SEC team yet again be champion?

 

Football Schools. they love the game so players wanna go play for those fans. they eat it up.

I went to a Mississippi State vs. Alabama game and it was like the Superbowl...lol..even though they blew the Bulldogs out, the fans didn't seem to think so. they cheered from kick off til whistle. can't explain the energy but I can see why players wanna go to the SEC and likewise USC.

 

the must see game this weekend is will the Oregon Ducks be able to overcome the formidable challenge they face against Tenn Tech? The vaunted defense of TT and high flying offense will surely challenge the Ducks.

Seriously???????????????? TT ?????????????? I hope USC squishes Oregon like a pimple
