I disagree but perhaps they have the only shot. If nothing else, I would enjoy watching them beat up on each other and watching one of them lose.

I know of a lot of people who hate Meatchicken, but were rooting for them anyway cause the SEC is now their most hated foe.

I had no such dilemma, I hate them both equally. :)

The teams I hate the most are Meatchicken, USC, and the entire SEC. The NCG will be dominated by their ilk, minus Meatchicken, till the end of time.

Marshall, who is terrible, ended up with 34 points and 550 yards. Marshall's sophomore QB torched the WV secondary for 415 yards. Those are not numbers a defense should be proud of against any team, let alone Marshall.

It seems harsh I know but yea, the entire SEC. The NCAA seems partial to them. Take, for example, the controversy around the Auburn QB. They hand the trophy to players who break NCAA rules in the SEC but ban and penalize teams in other conferences. They all live charmed lives to be sure.

I think what needs to be done is that rival conferences need to do some "investigating". They need to send private investigators into programs like Bama and see what dirt there is. Trust me, there is dirt.

I was glad to see them take out USC for a bit. That was a breath of fresh air.

The two teams I root on - Ohio State and whoever Michigan is playing.

I've never cared for USC either, and Penn State has hit my (*)(*)(*)(*) list recently. Seeing Ohio U whip them yesterday was satisfying.

As far as conferences go, Ive never really cared. Yeah, the SEC is good at football, but they're terrible at a dozen other sports and retarded academically so it all balances out in the end :)

    That makes two of us.

I'm still bitter about the Tressel affair. The NCAA knew full well what had happened before OSU played Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl, but let them play anyway. Why? It was because of the $$$$ on the line. Then when the $$$$ had been made they gutted the program. Nice.

Of course, OSU looks like Mother Teresa compared to Penn State. Many people I know think that the NCAA did not go far enough, and I tend to agree. Of course, the NCAA has a financial interest in getting Penn State back to the original form, so I think that them being judge and jury is a conflict of interest for them to say the least. And yes, a smile came across my face as well as the Bobcats beat them.

I saw the NCG predictions on ESPN. Everyone, and I mean everyone, had left the SEC out of the NCG. Why? Because they are sick to death of them. However, deep down they know the truth, Bama will be waiting there with bells on. I suppose it is all a sell job to get other fans hopes up and generate interest and revenue for themselves, but they don't fool me.

I have witnessed college football from afar for most of my life.
The boys in my family were raised on the NFL games, and Sunday has always been a magical and special day.

To this day, I am an avid NFL fan, and only monitor the college action and standings in a casual fashion.
Mostly because a lot of my coworkers are RABID Alabama or Auburn fans, and it helps to know what's going on if you're going to join in on the water cooler conversations on Monday morning.

    It think it came about this way for two reasons;
I was an Army brat, and we moved around a lot when I was growing up. No nearby University captured our fancy, I guess.
But the NFL games on Sunday were a big part of our traveling/wandering culture.

I can remember vividly the first color television broadcast I witnessed.
It was in 1964, on Fort Eustis, Virginia, and my dad and older brother went next door on Sunday to watch a Packers game on the Lieutenant neighbor's new color console TV.
The television was set in a large oak cabinet, and there was a stereo turntable and speakers mounted in the beast as well.
The rich colors of green and yellow on those player's helmets; I remember them fondly to this day.

Traveling around later on as an Army aviator, I never attended a proper University campus.
I attained my college degree at night schools and on-post education centers, at a variety of duty stations.
I missed out on the 'University' education, and I guess I missed out on forming a strong bond with any one Universities football program.

    Funny story;
I remember being at some friends of friends house out in the country many years ago.
    I was a young teenager.
Two seriously-southern boys asked me, "Who're you fer?"

    I said, "Huh?"

"Who're you fer? Auburn or Alabama?"

I said the wrong thing. "Uh, I really don't care for either team, thank you."

*pow*, I got my ass beat right then and there.

It's okay in Alabama to be for the hated 'other' team, whichever one that is.
But it's NOT okay to say your don't give a $hit.
    It simply isn't done.

No, they can't....lol. USC is gonna beat up on teams that score 30 points against them. The minute they get stopped 2 times, their world will fall apart. Plus you got to throw in the Kiffen factor. His teams always choke. They wont make it to the BCS title game.

    Mark my words now.

Mark May picked WVU and FSU????

    Really????

It sounds to me like ESPN has been told not to pump SEC teams this year and instead talk up the lesser teams.

All this hype on WVU and FSU is a joke. Just like Robinson got his ass shown for the hyped up nonsense he is by Bama, WVU & FSU will be the same.

The parity is getting better in college, I give them that. But Mark May and these butters picking teams that stand no chance is ridiculous.

FSU has a cupcake schedule thus why may might have said that. It's the same reason they predicted Ohio State 2 years in a row. They look at OSU's cupcake schedule and go from there.

I'm sorry but once the Dawgs get all of their players back they will beat up on Bama in the BCS championship game. Bama may win but they will get pounded. The Dawgs look tough this year as Richt has been quietly rebuilding the program into a powerhouse. That would mean that if Bama does make it to the BCS game they will be healing while USC will only have played Oregon. The trick to Oregon is just knock them down the way LSU, GA or Bama would and they withdraw. Those teams aren't accustomed to the NFL-esque pounding you get in the SEC.

who would have thunk it? I wonder why Robinson wasn't allowed to run? Maybe the coaches knew he'd get pounded by the SEC style defense and they are focused more on their division rather than trying to step up their game to the big league.

    The Irish looked pretty good.

If they could just play Navy every week in Ireland...they would do very well.

I will be happy for at least a week.

He was allowed to run. He got hurt in the process. Plus he is use to getting around the ends against teams with less speed. With Bama's speed though, he couldn't do it.

    1. SEC

    3. Pac 10
    4. ACC
    5. Moutain West
    6. Conference USA
    7. the rest......

Having said that....vote on the BCS Championship Game:

You mean welcome to the University of Alabama. The last time I checked a quadriplegic could start on defense at Vanderbilt.

Even though the rest of the country is tired of hearing about how good the SEC is.....it is the best conference in the country and vandy is no slouch.

Wut? The Big 12 over the Big Ten?

I can see maybe the PAC 10 ONLY because of USC, and the SEC for sure, but the Big 12? Nope.

    I see it as

    SEC
    PAC 12

    as being 1 and 2.

realistically it's more like SEC and then the rest

As I said, without USC this is not the case.

For me it is USC verses the top three teams in the SEC every year. That is your NCG picture till hell freezes over.

Big 10 ?...hahah.. Penn State is/was the only consistently winning team in that conference.

Now that Joe Pedo is dead, look for Nebraska(ex-Big 12) to takeover that Conference.
