    Well, if you study Scripture with an open mind concerning the claims of Christ, you would see that God is very real. There is a book I invite you to read at your leisure written by an investigative journalist named Lee Stroble entitled The Case For Christ that would help you with this.

    One of my favorites "Mere Christianity" C.S. Lewis.
    I would hope God would improve your outlook and show you how to encourage others. I am going to see a man right now that is on his 2nd heart transplant. He has given his whole life to serving others and is quite an encouragement. The fact he has lived this long IS a miracle. The rejection medication is taking it's toll after 25 years. He is in the hospital today but I will visit him and he will encourage me. He is a Godly man and is at peace anytime God wants to take him home.

    Why would any power capable of creating the entire Universe create cancer then cure it? Are you confusing the modern Christian "personal God" with a Deist God?

    You are correct, many Christians have done very well in science (wiki is often right) - but they are intellectual cowards because when asked "did you remove the PATENTLY unscientific parts of the Bible that you give your impressionable young children?" they can't answer with the right answer ("yes"). Their book has a talking donkey and talking snakes and a talking burning bush and a 2000 year-old magic invisible talking dead guy! They are hypocrites when it comes to science.

    You mean Zeus? Or Krishna? Or Odin? Which of the thousands and thousands of claimed gods (all with the exact same level of evidence for their existence) are they worshipping? Sounds like the odds of picking the CORRECT "god" is 1 in thousands.

    and that is fine, their choice, I just want to keep religion and government separate, let people believe what they want themselves personaly, not force it on people via the government

    I think many Christians nowadays believe in a deistic God, course that would mean they were not really Christians, they just say they are cause those around them say they are

    That's just it, God did not create sicknesses, disease, etc. That is a result of the curse of sin and man's willful disobedience to God.

    almost all people in office are people of faith, even Trump, no issue with that, as long as they are not using the office to pass laws forcing religions on the people
