Never mind the fact that the whole concept of "turnabout is fair play" is an ethical non-starter. If something is wrong, it doesn't matter if the other side does it: You shouldn't do it. By doing it yourself, you lose all right to criticize the other side for doing it.

Just so long as you recognize that your justification has no logical basis.

Merely pointing out a Tea Partier behaving badly isn't forcing everyone to "answer" for that person's behavior. Other Tea Partiers have all sorts of options: support the guy, make clear they *don't* support the guy, make the argument that he is not representative, etc. Heck, you even have the option of *ignoring* the post or thread in question. Nobody is forcing you to answer for anything.
