I thought the original Twin Towers were ugly. The replacements aren't particularly appealing either; I don't like their shapes. I prefer Art Deco, like the Empire State Building. However, I don't mind sheer glass as long as it's plastered with neon (like a lot of buildings in Tokyo are). Sorry, but I don't find Asian women attractive at all. There's nothing sexier than an American in Paris: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N77WyjFcYo"]J'adore Dior[/ame] (Okay, so the model is technically South African... BUT, the voice over is American, and we have just as many attractive women we could swap in!)
Her nude nipple was far better looking than Berlusconi's, such a shame that it still is censored in public media... I guess I would also prefer Palin's mouth over Dubya's, should I have to deal with very low quality/price ratios
She sounds like a Canadian. You clearly didn't watch my commercial. That's the kind of voice our President needs.
That voice on Obama would feel a tad strange. Barry White's deep and suave tone, perhaps [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtyWe7_oD1g"]YouTube - J'Adore Cristian Dior w/ Carmen Kass[/ame]
It's only an opinion inspired by Russian and Ukrainian cities who start building high even though there is so much space around them. Sky scrapers give more character to cities and their former ecological and economical disadvantages can be handled meanwhile by intelligent architecture. They give cities a modern and dynamic touch. Personally I think, Frankfurt/Main is the most beautiful city in Germany. There are a lot of people, who think, Frankfurt is just an example about, what can be done wrong in architecture. I'm not one of them. Daimler went a different way in Stuttgart. Their head quarter is everything but a sky scraper, more a ranch or a village. This should have been somehow human measure. It's not bad, but not very impressive, too. Dresden doesn't want skyscrapers, even though one might argue, just the City Hall is one. This is kinda ironic.
Come to think of it I could have wanted the neons on them too. Would have made them even more brilliant, must say. How do you scale up art deco to such a semi-infinite building? To be honest I forgot that their faces are mostly a lot less attractive than their shapes. Yes, she is absolutely beautiful. The problem is that we don't have many attractive women to swap her with any more. We have so few left, that it is about to make me loose faith in my own country.
This was interesting. Also, now I am going to visit Frankfurt am Main too (I mean for more than just the airport). Is it true that Dresden refused to rebuild after ww2, throughout the time of the DDR regime?
There must be an element of truth in this ... statistically it was measured (I think) that everyone finds those most attractive who are most similar to self.
\ I agree with you - no one nationality or ethnic group has cornered the market in beauty (which is, after all, in the eye of the beholder). Personal preferences often dictate to whom we are attracted, but it is ludicrous to make absolute pronouncements upon which race is beautiful and which is not.
No, Dresden has been rebuilt soon after WWII. It was only the Frauenkirche, which should be kept as a memorial against war. The Frauenkirche got rebuilt after German unification with private money. A lot of the donations for it came from America, especially from German Jewish people. Britons donated, too, they renovated the big cross at the top, for instance. It was about reconciliation. The castle was still under construction during unification, it is rather big and the construction works were very expensive, too.
your country i s member of EU so why do you cry now that Germany is the bully? now the countrys all there want to do is to controlle the euro for themselv.
Thing is that Germany comes to Brussels and tries to impose a Diktat and ignores all the 26 other countries because their pockets are not so deep as Germany's. Germany is the biggest national economy of the European Union and it tends to use that as a "bribe".
I lived three years in Teltow, this is close to Berlin, it's a nice place. I enjoyed it. I'm not often in Berlin, but I like it there.
It's kinda difficult for me to understand why they called a whole district Teltow-Fläming, but Teltow is not part of this district
