Is Eostre a Greek word? Pascal is Italianish for Easter so my guess is Pascal was Latin. But Incould be wrong, I was wrong, once.

So literally nobody, including the OP, actually read the linked article then?

This is becoming a serious topic so the Church of the Holy Cheeze Doodle based in Chedarhead Wisconsin has filed suit for equal billing on google demanding that their sacred symbol the "Cheeze Doodle" be displayed on their holiest of holy holidays April 1. That is the day that their HeadCheeze Pontiff cuts the sacred cheese wheel at daybreak signaling that the essence of their "faith" is spreading across the world.

Ēostre or Ostara (Old English: Ēastre [æːɑstrə] or [eːɑstrə], Northumbrian dialect Ēastro [1], Mercian dialect and West Saxon dialect (Old English) Ēostre[2] ; Old High German: *Ôstara ) is a Germanic goddess who, by way of the Germanic month bearing her name (Northumbrian: Ēosturmōnaþ; West Saxon: Ēastermōnaþ; Old High German: Ôstarmânoth), is the namesake of the festival of Easter in some languages. Ēostre is attested solely by Bede in his 8th-century work The Reckoning of Time, where Bede states that during Ēosturmōnaþ (the equivalent of April), pagan Anglo-Saxons had held feasts in Ēostre's honour, but that this tradition had died out by his time, replaced by the Christian Paschal month, a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.

Google is in the business of "search engine." Until you can prove that any search related to Christians and Christianity turns up zero, you have no case. Your argument is a big fail.

Wrong...google is in the business of data collection. They do this through my searches and your searches. I want easter stuff on easter when I pay for google searches through turning over my personal information.

Then do a search on Easter. I'm sure many things will turn up. Google isn't in the business of make doodles so your argument is still a fail.

I hope you’re feigning ignorance for some kind of effect because I’m not sure I can dumb down the answer to this enough otherwise.

The bakers weren’t sued for refusing to violate their religion, they were sued for treating homosexual customers differently to heterosexual customers. The fact they used religion as their justification is irrelevant. An atheist baker who did the same thing for their own reasons would have been breaking the same law while all the Christian bakers who don’t discriminate are not.

Google is not discriminating against anyone. As per the statement I quoted from the OP article, Google don’t produce doodles for any religious events any more, probably as a vain attempt to avoid exactly this kind of complaints. If they did do something for Easter, they’d probably get complaints that it wasn’t religious enough (like they sometimes do around Christmas) and if they got in to religious imagery, there are all sorts of pitfalls with the different sects and conflicting beliefs. They can’t please all of the people all of the time and sadly, not doing anything is probably the least controversial.

Well, they get tired of saying things like there's 1000 people, mostly made up of families, are coming from Central America, with Mexico's blessing, because the D party wants their votes. And these same people think this group of 1000 people, made up with families, are going to over throw the gov't.

How do people make this stuff up? And now google is out to kill christianity, why? Because they didn't put Easter Egg doodle on their search site.

And when they get tired of whining about Easter Egg doodles, they deflect to something completely unrelated.

An owner nonetheless so I get a say so here where you were complaining about people who are not owners voicing their opinions about what they should do. Are you an owner?

So I imagine if Google makes a doodle honoring Native American culture there'll be a full thread with people whining about how Google is trying to stomp out the white Christian men in the world. Correct?

Sure....anyone who have a 401K is most likely "an owner." Note though if you never attend a stockholders' meeting, you practically have no say. Stockholders don't give a rat's behind about some meaningless doodles.

Yeah, with only a little stock, the only "say" you really have is by selling it off.

sure they are they did it today. They do it to get you to their search engine. No different than a baker that puts a sign that says "wedding cakes" in their window.

making a cake for homosexuals forces them to violate their religion. No need to dumb it down you need to come up to speed. Do we force muslims to make pork sandwiches if they are in the sandwich business?

False analogy. You can't force people to sell what they don't make. Do you force car makers to sell you motorcycles??

Did what?? I don't go to Google for some stupid doodles do you?? Again their main business is a search engine (now include movies, cloud computing, email service), it is not to provide doodles. No lawyer or judge in this land would even entertain your argument.

Well....than organize a useless movement to complain about doodles. But you won't. Us sane investors only care about the bottom line....the profits Google is making.
