    No, you must have missed the memo on how aggressively Obama went after illegal immigration.

    Dems ARE in favor of not breaking up families, not deporting kids to foreign countries, and not uprooting those who have spent years becoming a productive force in our society, including our economy.

    But you ARE familiar with the game aren't you? Here's how the Democrat Party sees it working. We compromise our laws, again, and allow over 800,000 Daca (kids as you call them) to stay, along with their criminal mothers and fathers, along with their extended families and acquantences, (chain migration,) then we use that compromise to "justify" further compromise of laws that have been on the books for decades and ignored. This is how they acheive "open borders".

    For years we have heard "our immigration system is broken". That is only because our laws have not been enforced. It's time to enforce them. Somebody gets hurt....and it should not be American citizens. I am an American citizen Contractor. I have always played by the rules. In the early seventies, I learned a trade that was honorable, took hard work, and as I was told by my peers, was quite lucritive. They were right, for that time. What they didn't forsee was hundreds of thousands of illegal invaders that didn't play by the rules with which I would have to compete. Invaders that were hired paying into no Workman's Comp, or City and State sales tax among other things. They were hired by unscrupulous builders while the government turned it's head. People in my predicament have been punished for decades now and you want to punish my children by allowing this to continue. So why do you play into others emotions now? You ignore the emotions I have felt for decades. You ignore the emotions I feel for my children and their future. Why do illegal invaders get presedence over the decsendents of natural born citizens?

    Well apparently it does not address chain migration or the immigration lottery, or ample border security. If it did, it would be in line with the proposal set forth by Paul Ryan and compromise would be a slam dunk.

    Moreover.....the reason you are not hearing the Lame Stream media harping about McConnell could have used Reconciliation.....is due to the time running out at midnight for the CR/Stopgap measure.

    If McConnell would have used reconciliation. The bill would have had to go back to the House and then back to the Senate. Wherein both get 20 hours to debate.

    Under Obama we stopped the number of undocumented aliens from growing. That hadn't happened in DECADES.

    Under Obama we negotiated a bi-partisan immigration reform that had tens of billions of NEW dollars for the border - a bill created in bipartisan committee under standard rules, that passed the Senate and that would have passed the House had the Republican Speaker Boehner not blocked it.

    You've got nothing.

    DACA is the issue, because it will time out in too little time to negotiate a solution.
