If it’s illegal, then have Trump arrested.

The guy is clearly UNFIT to serve and needs to be REMOVED from office.

The question is ... will enough republican senators locate their spines by next week?

Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and that he could not even be investigated, let alone arrested, while President.

Under normal circumstances, you would be mostly correct, although I would think it somewhat alarming than an administration violated a law they knew they were at least close to violating... There's no doubt Mulvaney and the folks at the OMB knew they were walking a fine line, at the very best.

Normally, it is sort of frivolous, but since this is directly tied to Article 1 of the Impeachment, it takes on an entirely different status here.

This is still the only impeachment in history not to mention a crime. But don’t worry, impeachments without a crime will be common in the future.

Obstruction of justice isn't a crime?

Might want to do some research....

Not to worry.... the news of this crime will be made very conspicuous during the trial for Article 1.

But the funds were released within the specified time.

    Therefore, no laws broken.

More fake news from a fake watchdog group.

If it was applicable, the Dems would have cited the statute.

Might want to do some research:
Trump wasn't impeached for obstruction of justice.

This GAO report confirms that the first Article of impeachment is a crime.

You can not pause the aid without providing a policy based justification to Congress. He did not. Hence, law broken.

Just ****ing read the report yourself.

It seems that Trump supporters are the equivalent of 5 year-old children running around with their fingers in their ears yelling, "I can't hear you!"

EDIT: My post below is incorrect. He was charged with obstruction of Congress, not justice.

It's one of the two articles of impeachment.....

Obstruction of justice is a crime in this country. People are charged with it all the time.

It's not going to be presented as a criminal charge in an impeachment proceeding because an impeachment proceeding is not a criminal trial. It will be presented as the basis for the impeachment article because it matches the description in the Constitution of "high crimes and misdemeanors".

I'll save you the time though. I'll just assume you'll respond with something that says you don't care and Trump won and all the other standard nonsense.

    Definition
18 U.S.C. § 1503 defines "obstruction of justice" as an act that "corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice."

Might want to do some research:
Article II is Obstruction of Congress, not Justice, and is not a crime.
In this, the Democrats impeached Trump for the legal exercise of executive privilege.

So, Obama broke the law when he withheld aid to Egypt without notifying congress? Good to know.

I cannot find the actual report... I thank @Spooky for posting the first link on the topic, but I'd like to post the actual report. It's not on the GAO website, but I imagine it will make it out there today...
