Just because no punches were thrown doesn't mean there was no attack.

The shooter was most definitely assaulted. He was hit hard enough that his feet left the ground before he fell to the prone position. He has hit hard enough the impact with the pavement could have proven fatal if he had landed differently.

If the shooter had been a cop, that would have been a completely justifiable shooting. Girlfriend was exiting car, boyfriend just assaulted him and there was a third person approaching until the gun was drawn.

The shooter will not be prosecuted nor should he be. This was an unfortunate event but it wasn't over a parking spot. It happened when one person attacked another. Had he responded verbally instead of physically, he would still be alive.

He had every right to defend his girlfriend without resorting to physical assault. If he had launched a verbal, rather than a physical, attack he would be with us today. If anyone is guilty of using unnecessary force, it is the man who ended up getting shot.

 

The shooter neutralized the situation by pulling the gun. At that point the guy started stepping backwards away from the guy on the ground. There was no threat at that point except from the chicken **** shooter.

 

That’s assuming the people were civil and not thug animals who use violence as their first response. This isn’t a rare occurance. Happens constantly. The victim shooting the attacker is whats rare. Most of the time the smaller man has to just take it and hope he’s not sent to the ER for saying anything. But this time karma prevailed.

 

Harassed? Says who? Parking in a handicap spot is the harassment by the way. I see enough people who have no business using them legally using fake medical forms. Just parking it in because you’re too lazy to walk is an entirely different form of stupid.

The use of deadly force in self-defense requires a reasonable fear for your life and/or bodily harm.

Right...except when the guy on the ground pulled his gun he neutralized the threat, as anyone who watched the video can see, the guy standing starts stepping away from the shooter. Hardly a threat at that point.

 

Speculation at best. What isn't speculation is the guy starting to step AWAY from the shooter once the gun is drawn. Threat neutralized....no need to shoot.

 

Until the guy pounced or moved quickly to get around him. Being an older guy on the ground, your ability to aim and hit a moving target decreases significantly. Or a friend is already coming from your blind side. Happens ALL THE TIME. One guy has your attention while another sucker punches you....then you’re dead. Lions and other pack predators have done this for millennia. Gang member do this regularly. The attacker came off as someone of that ilk.

Very bad example for the children, parking in a handicap space. They may grow up ignorant with big heads and get themselves in dangerous situations unecessarily, too.

 

The main who complained about the illegal parking, Drejka, never attacked the man whose girlfriend illegally parked, McGlockton. McGlockton attacked Drekja first, and Drekja fired in self-defense.
