Not being "reported", does not mean the incidence did not occur. If this spurs someone who had previous dealings with the murderer to come forward, the police would have no choice but to investigate, and draw a clearer picture of the shooters derangement. At the very least he should lose his CCW.

You make a good point. About 40 years ago I was attacked in a street altercation. There was an individual in the neighborhood where I lived who liked to get drunk and attack/fight/beat up people. Anyway, one day he attacked me. At the time I was young, in shape, and trained to fight and wasn't worried. I landed the first punch, a vicious shot and then stopped and dropped my hands. As the impact from my punch would have knocked out Sonny Liston (or so I thought) I immediately stopped so as not to inflict any more damage than necessary. To make a long story short I ended up in the hospital cut up and blood soaked. At that time I learned that street fights are as you say, all out with a maximum application of whatever force you can use to defend yourself. There are a lot of people here who as you say have never been in a fight. The guy that attacked me ended up attacking someone with a .357 magnum a few weeks after attacking me. Word on the street was he was killed.

That dude deserved to get a chest shot. Dont like it? Then dont ever violently attack someone. Its real easy. There are plenty of us out there who will not hesitate to defend ourselves from violent attack. Id espouse not attacking people if I didnt want to get shot. I dont attack people because I expect them to be armed. Those who dont help the eugenics threads greatly.

 

That would be legal, but a stretch, but legal.

 

As someone who is authorized, I have the license plate below, I find that acceptable. Even being authorized I never say anything if I see someone in a handicapped space that appears to be cheating. The reason I don't is because of what happened in this incident. You never know who you're confronting, and what their problem is.

 

A living one who wants to remain living. Me, I would have done the same thing, shoot the thug attacker dead. He earned his Darwin award, so give it to him.

I don't see it quite that way. When the thug attacked a not threatening person with a double push punch enough to knock him on the ground violently, now that is when the incident could have been avoided, but big tough guy showed him who was da man, and died for it.

If the white guy did not shoot the black guy, race would not have been mentioned when they reported that one man knocked another man down.

White on black violence is always reported as a hate crime.

Black on white violence is reported as either an unfortunate incident or an isolated occurrence.

 

If you are saying that being a Christian means you can't defend yourself you should probably post you logic in the religion discussion section of this forum.

 

From a legal standpoint, it does mean such. If no complaints are filed, then as far as the legal system is concerned no incident occurred.

First, the above is nothing but supposition.

Second, the individual in question has not been charged, much less convicted, so it is entirely premature to be claiming that he is a murderer.

Turning the other cheek is mentioned only once. There is nothing saying to continue turning the other cheek an indefinite number of times while taking no other actions.

I am sorry you had to go through that. I was beaten by a Seal team Chief Petty Officer in the 70's when I was in the Navy and would have been killed if his buddies hadn't pulled him off of me. When fights start and people get hit the Adrenalin starts pouring and stopping is not in the mind of the winner.

This has classic "inferiority complex" written all over it. I have no doubt that having that gun in his pocket bolstered his confidence in verbally attacking alleged PARKING VIOLATORS. Yeah, those are some hardened criminals, huh? And, before you slobber all over yourself, I, absolutely, DO NOT condone the shove that brought the gun out. But, that gun was going to make an appearance eventually, even if it wasn't this day. Over a frickin' parking spot.
