    Biden says wearing the mask for the next 3 months can save 40,000 lives. He's not interested in 40,000 lives, he is interested in 40,000 votes.

    To me gathering statistics on things that have actually happened and making sense of them is hard enough but gathering statistics on things that have not happened is like wandering into the black arts.

    But I was trained as a chemist so I’m more predisposed to look at empirical evidence. Perhaps this is a prejudice :)

    LOL. Everybody has to wear a mask until we rise to power!!!!!!!!

    Despite their bold plan, my state is going to require them for customer facing workers until at least Christmas.

    If he comes to town to sit at the mall with icky sticky kids lining up to sit on his lap, yes. Otherwise, the North Pole isn't in my state's jurisdiction.

    Trump has been wishy washy on masks.

    Camel face Harris should wear a mask 24/7 for prevention of hideous face terrorism against fellow citizens

    Sleepy Slow Joe should wear mask whenever speaking so that the garbled indecipherable words heard by the audience can be explained away as “my mask did it”

    I guess they can join all of the people that don't want to wear clothes or shoes... I would rather have an open economy with masks than a yo-yo economy without them.

    It isn’t a rant, it is fact backed up by the latest information today. If we find out masks do nothing tomorrow then we don’t wear one — the scientific method has gotten civilization this far...

    But you are correct, they cannot mandate anything — just make recommendations and then point to all of the other countries that are seeing single digit to zero new cases. We are the laughing stock of the modern world.

    As for world opinion, I have family in Canada, Scotland and the UK — there is a general consensus.
    Yrmv depending on your narrow world view. I guess Brazil is looking at us like we are doing great so maybe it isn’t the world, just the educated parts.
