Well it's just dead organic matter.

Same thing that turns into diamonds eventually.

there we go, we could put a global warming tax on engagement rings.

as you can see from the thread, even if true, people won't change until forced to or until the change is easier than doing what they are currently doing

sure a few will change, but not enough to make a difference

so the real drive of change must be science, they have to make a easier alternative or a way to change the climate on their own

course when they start discussing ways to change the climate, the same people that say climate change is not real, will be screaming they gonna mess up the climate (the same thing they said man can't do)

I'm surprised the left hasn't developed a fetus powered vehicle.

    Literally? Yeah it is.

For all practical purposes, it's not.

We can get to oil deposits in 2020 that we couldn't even see in 1970.

They’ve gotten plenty right. Some models have just proven to be more accurate than others.

It's renewable if we have a major die-off of all life on the planet.

Wouldn't do us any good though.

Yep, and I’ve been in this thread advocating for better technologies as well as improving the current system of how we live. For some reason that is getting pushback.

Assuming you’re willing to wait a few million years to get at plants and animals dying today then sure, you’re right. What I said was false.

Name a climate change prediction that came true.

Well, by the time it became oil....would we need it?

    I hope not.

The left seems determined to drag us into another Dark Ages though.

Observable trends are supporting theories that climate scientists have been suggesting for a while now. We are see more extreme weather events now than we have in the past.

“While there’s not yet a full consensus on the matter, in recent years a body of evidence linking extreme weather with climate change has begun to emerge. Evidence from satellites, aircraft, ground measurements and climate model projections are increasingly drawing connections. Quantifying those interconnections is a big challenge.

“All our available tools have pros and cons,” says Teixeira. “Rain gauges, for example, provide good measurements, but they’re local and spread far apart. In contrast, satellites typically measure climate variables (such as precipitation, temperature and humidity) indirectly and don’t yet have long enough data records to establish trends, though that’s beginning to change. In addition, representing small-scale processes of the atmosphere that are key to extreme weather events in climate models, such as turbulence, convection and cloud physics, is notoriously difficult. So, we’re in a bit of a conundrum. But great progress is being made as more studies are conducted.””

Yup. It's all a part of that "top down" approach that requires everyone to give up their liberty and income and quality of life and stuff... For some unholy reason, our liberal buddies believe it's necessary to revisit the inquisition, and this is just one of the areas of orthodoxy they wish to force on folks.

Mother Nature has no use for fossil fuels. What point are you trying to make?

My favorite prediction was when in around 2008 folks predict by 2016 that New York would be under 16 Feet of water. Can you imagine how much looter damage that would have precluded??

I didn’t take your post to mean anything at all. How could I have taken it out of context?
