I have asked all the Obamanite partisans to tell us WHEN this swelling, growing wave of homelessness appeared in the U. S., and they go silent. When they reply at all they blame 'the recession' -- but I point out that even according to liberal economists, the 'Great Recession' ENDED IN JUNE 2009!

What didn't end was the vast Democrat 'Welfare Circus', that put people on unemployment benefits which, in many cases, stretched out to THREE YEARS, often followed by Social Security "Disability" awards from bleeding-heart liberal 'social workers' that will NEVER end. Plus, numerous other kinds of handout welfare, including 'food stamp' EBT cards, TANF payments, utility payments and subsidies, rent subsidies, etc., etc. It is obvious that if liberal Democrats did nothing else, they made it much easier for people to "get back on their feet"! Some did, and, as we see, some didn't -- and they probably never will. If nobody FORCES them to support themselves why would they?!

Hey, I didn't know anybody was taking my picture that day. You owe me royalties, and keep the welfare coming too, ha ha.

If you're a 'homeless camper', your wish is my command. I was told so by the ACLU!

    1. The point here is that you just picked a job category at random. My bet is your only criteria was disrespect for agricultural work.

    2. This involves huge assumptions on your part - including overlooking that some do have jobs. You have no idea who "needs tough love".

    3. I don't get your point on this one,.

I don't know what percent of the problem can be traced directly to the recession.

But, please remember that the effects of the recession remain today. Steve Mnuchin didn't give them their homes back. Jobs remained scarce for a long time as the economy recovered. Nobody has solved the housing shortage for low income prospective residents. The cost of living for those with low income isn't catching up with the economy as corporations roar forward passing profits of tax cuts to shareholders - NOT labor.

Plus, your comments on our social safety net are just weird. Cutting off aid certainly wasn't going to solve ANY of these problems.

Unemployment compensation simply for being unemployed on an at-will basis for Capitalism's natural rate of unemployment, should be fourteen dollars an hour with a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage.

    Let's,

    Tax the Rich into Heaven!
