You can read the bill here: https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/12/politics/coronavirus-house-economic-bill/index.html

This bill will do a lot more to address the needs of the American people than Trump's speech last night.

You can read a summary here:

Longer than the European Union had to respond to Trump's travel ban.

Can you atleast attempt to answer the question without randomly putting words around the name Trump?

I assume that the text was released this morning and the vote will take place this afternoon.

It will then go to the Senate to make their own changes and then a vote will take place hopefully before the end of the week on the compromised bill.

That does not leave much time for people to read it but Pelosi is famous for this.

Judging from the summary I'm seeing the Dems doing a lot more to address the needs of their welfare constituency than the needs of the majority of the American people who have jobs, HI and sick leave and are facing extra expenses if they get sick and/or are taking preventative measures to avoid contracting the virus.

The faux champions of working class Americans serve their own selfish interests again...

Yeah, I can't imagine why they would focus on people who don't have the money or means to deal with such an outbreak, while not worrying as much on those with money and means to deal with such an outbreak.

    Mind boggling to be sure.

I dunno if you noticed, but the stock market has dropped 2100 points today after it dropped 1500 points yesterday.

We are kinda in a "Put on your big pants and get **** done" phase.

    No, they are not.

Health Insurance Rates have dropped under Trump's leadership.

And you do that by voting for something without time to read it? Thats how we got Obamacare and 8 years of calls for "fixes"

That is what was supposed to happen.

Instead, Republicans took over and tried to repeal Obamacare ~1048502 times instead of addressing the very real issues that could easily have been adjusted via legislation.

I could post article after article after article back then claiming there were simple fixes and yet said fixes were never brought forward.

This is what happens when you rush something forward.

Like I said, you can't "bring forth" fixes when the Republican Controlled House only tries to pass legislation to completely dismantle the law.

But this discussion is not relevant to the current legislation being considered.

Sure you can bills are brought up all the time for debate that will most likely not pass..

But your retreat and spin is noted.

Yeah, never mind that they could have focused on BOTH....

    ...but they didn't.

In other completely unpredictable news, the sun rose in the East this morning...

Not necessarily. Plus the deductibles are insane. The whole law is a lesson in how not to try and mash two systems together. Either take insurance companies out of the equation, or be stuck with the system you have.

This sounds like socialism, people should be free to not be able to afford treatment or testing and pass this off to others.
    Freedom!

The real question is why didn't Obama pass this law himself.
