At the moment Jussie could be looking at 3 years + probation until he's 70 but they haven't charged him with the letter which could carry 5-8 years.

How long do you think he should go to jail for?

His is not the fault of race baiting. That is the fault of America.

I don't believe you can righteously punish someone for the overreaction in someone else.

Democrats may want to take their vengeance out on him though. (same mentality behind those stupid "hate crime" laws, they'll think he faked a more serious crime than he actually did)

Despite the fact he tried to do a bad thing for America, I'll pray that he doesn't get the excessive punishment that may likely be coming to him.

The only person who seemed to have been hurt in this silly case is the perp himself. I think he should be treated as someone with an illness not as a criminal.

If he pleads guilty, I’d say a stiff fine, and community service.

It's a local issue, imo. They know best. That said, part of me wants him to hurt. But that's for the entire lefts assault against the President and we who support him. And of course it's not right to put all of that on Smollett's back. Soooooo....maybe six months in jail minus time served, plus a fine and community service. He may be a jerk, but he's not a monster.

The same amount of time his attackers would have served if it hadn't been all made up.

That would be a good one, for the Judge to say in court.

Hey, he is in court today isn't he.
    It's 5;30 in Chicago.

Smollet should have been arrested by a 29 man SWAT team. He should have had to post a $250,000 bond, and he should spend up to 7.5 years in jail.

It's the new standard Democrats have set for non-violent crimes.

He went to arraignment today, pleaded not guilty.

Mark Gersgos, joined his legal team.
They will drain him, and he has no job.

I guess you're talking about Manafort. I see your point. It was completely over the top. But I don't know if jamming Smollett is gonna make Manafort feel any better. I didn't before, but now I do hope that the President commutes his sentence.

    He should get 25 years.

That way the MSM won't be disappointed with the sentence.

Unfortunately for Manafort, the Mueller gestapo shifted much of his case to NY, where his sentence there can't be commuted by a federal pardon. It's not justice they are seeking, it's political persecution they seek.

Given what he attempted, and his motivation to harm 10's of millions of innocent everyday Americans?

He should be sentenced to every second each count caries. I voted for 9+.

The racist POS deserves everything coming his way.

Oh, It is justice that they seek and justice is what I hope we get. When Trump pardons him, justice will not be served, since Manifort defrauded taxpayers out of millions of dollars. He also worked in Ukraine for the Russians against a country that we support. Manifort is typical of the squirrels that Trump surrounds himself with.

My prediction: A large fine, his career destroyed and a few months in jail, maybe. That would be fine with me.

I don't know but I suspect that over the course of his lifetime, he has paid millions in taxes and that he pays a higher tax rate than those who charged and imprisoned him for not paying enough. It's pretty sick.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, its not a crime to work in the Ukraine or Russia, and there was no Russia collusion, except in the fanciful imaginations of the liberal left.

How much jail time did Willie Nelson get for his $16 million tax fraud case back in 1993? The largest tax fraud case of its kind at that time? The case that "defrauded taxpayers out of millions of dollars"?

    ZERO Time.

He probably pays more to our government in taxes in one year than the vast majority of taxpayers pay in their entire lifetimes. So with that in mind, I can't see his hiding of a portion of his income from the taxman as taking anything away from anyone. From where I sit, it's a paper crime with no real victim.

Wille Nelson?? Who gives a sht about Willie Nelson? If he didn't get jail time, he should have gotten jail time. In case you haven't figured it out yet, it is a crime to aid an opponent of the U.S when we are aiding the friendly country and American lives are at risk. And lying to the feds ain't dainty.
