Get rid of the party system and set term limits on how many times you can run.

Limit the commerce clause so that it couldn't be used to do an end run around the entire rest of the constitution and all of its amendments.

The party system is not in the Constitution. And I agree with you about the term limits for Congressmen and women. But I don't think the Supreme Court should have term limits.

Free speech wouldn't really be worth much if it only protected those sentiments that everyone else agreed with.

That's true, it only calls for a Legislative branch which comprises of a Senate and Congress. We should have stopped there and not made Parties. Allow ever man/woman to vote his conscious, not the Party line. Then we might get something done.

Parties aren't the problem, it's the limited (or two) party system we have. If we set up a parliamentary system, we'd have a much better party system, like the rest of the world.

I'd be willing to repeal laws banning women showing their breasts in public, and exchange it for laws banning the desecration of American flags.

1 - Every member of the power structure would be subjected to perjury laws whenever they speak publicly.

The two party system is not the problem. The problem is the voters overwhelmingly sticking to their herd mentality and voting for only one of the two parties.

But they only do that because the system is set up so only Republicans or Democrats win elections.

The two party system is reinforced by what is actually the problem: the winner takes all and first past the post voting system that we have. We need proportional voting systems.

So anyone that had a Federal subsidized student loan couldn't vote... accelerating the rise of the idiocracy.

Also signing up for the military would mean you relinquished the right to vote.

Does having to tell the truth in a Court violate the first amendment?

No, the First Amendment does not protect all types of speech. Certain types of speech, such as 'fighting words,' slander, and perjury are not protected.

I was unclear...pensions and SS are not welfare...I should have said that organizations that receive big bucks from the government could not lobby for more (corporate welfare) and that folk getting actual welfare could not vote.

No. only those who are not paying the federally guaranteed loans making themselves welfare recipients...

Federal salaries and pensions are not welfare...something for nothing is welfare. Folk getting something for nothing should not have the right to vote for more.
