There was no <illegal occupation> this was a <reconquista = liberation> of the Jewish Patrimony exactly like <Andalous = Spain> got rid of their Arab conquerors.

Apparently you are not aware that Israel was the <victorious> party here.

Apparently you missed how well patrimony worked for the Nazis?
"The Nuremberg principles were a set of guidelines for determining what constitutes a war crime. The document was created by the International Law Commission of the United Nations to codify the legal principles underlying the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi party members following World War II."

As pointed out on this forum it is occupation. This is again according to UNSC, ICJ(since I know you will argue it article 73 of 2004 ICJ decision doesn't cite the mandate doc and is simply noting territories controlled after six day war) , International Red Cross, and Israeli Supreme Court for decades. The definition of occupation in 1907 Hague regulation doesn't care how or why it came about. It says in article 42
"
Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army.
The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised. "
The peace treaty with Jordan doesn't mean occupation hasn't ended either as the article notes that occupation begins once it's placed under authority of hostile army and not when it ends. For occupation to end authority of army needs to end over territory.
The Spain example is not relevant as that was before international law even before notion of statehood which started after 1648 with treaty of Westphalia following end of 30 years war. The occupation has been brutal with torture, house demolition and other abuses committed throughout it. This is according to people like late late Avraham Shalom who during 1980's ordered Shin Bet agents to execute two terrorists by smashing the head of two terrorists with rocks and then tried to cover it up and blame the military; he said “[We’ve become] a brutal occupation force similar to the Germans in World War II,". Another former Shin Bet head Carmi Gillion described it as "We are making the lives of millions unbearable, into prolonged human suffering, [and] it kills me."

Indeed. All the babbling about 'international law' is merely a scheme for genociding Israeli Jews, not any concern for 'international law'. As we know none of the Arab factions involved have ever abided by 'international law' in their entire existence, and they have never abided by the few 'treaties' they managed to sign, while purposely sabotaging most of the others over the decades since WW I. Only idiots keep bringing it up, and always making false claims re these 'international laws'. Israelis would have to be insane to accept these claims as 'legitimate'.

You've already forgotten how your "patrimony" sheltered behind British bayonets for a generation before beginning your ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and how you depend on the Greatest Purveyor of Violence in the World today to maintain your criminal occupation. Some Jews imagine themselves to be far more special than they truly are.

How is it a scheme for calling genocide of Jews? Again many that call end to occupation are Israeli Jews like former Shin Bet, high ranking IDF officers,etc. The Egyptians and Jordanians have followed their peace agreements. The West Bank has been largely quiet since end of second intifada with most attacks lone gunmen attacks with PA maintaing security cooperation despite criticism. For many years Israel hasn't followed international law. This includes during 1950's with reprisal raids like Qibya,Bureij, and 1956 Gaza city center bombing that targeted civilians along with free fire zones for Palestinian infiltrators even though most were peacefully and trying to get back to their crops, along with strafing and shooting at Bedouin during that time period. These raids pushed Arab states to start aiding infiltrators which they initially didn't.

Usual load of Horseshiite and dissimulation. And, the fact is not a single case against Israel has been brought before any of these 'international courts', nor has the UN ever honored it's own duties in the region since its inception, so of course their babbling and sniveling is of no concern to anybody. Well, except for antisemites and their fans, anyway, the ones who run around parroting it all endlessly, except when their pet terrorists and gangsters routinely violate them, wherein they suddenly start babbling another stream of silly propaganda narratives and handwaves.

Rather than using any facts your argument is that I am wrong. Every thing I said above is true. Reprisal raids during 1950's did target civilians. In the case of Bureij Ariel Sharon's unit 101 troops were caught in Bureij refugee camp and responded by shooting indiscriminately out of the camp. UN observers for mixed armistice commission set up after 48 war to monitor ceasefire lines described the raid as "One of the latest and gravest incidents in the Gaza Strip has been the attack upon several houses and huts in the Arab refugee camp of Bureij on the night of 28 August. That camp, organized and administered by United Nations Relief and Works Agency, is situated about 2 kilometres west of the demarcation line. Bombs were thrown through the windows of huts in which refugees were sleeping and, as they fled, they were attacked by small arms and automatic weapons. The casualties were twenty killed, twenty-seven seriously wounded and thirty-five less seriously wounded. The Mixed Armistice Commission, in an emergency meeting, adopted by a majority vote a resolution according to which the attack was made by a group of armed Israelis. A likely explanation is that it was a ruthless reprisal raid. This seems probable in view of the fact that a quarter of the Israel complaints during the preceding four weeks referred to infiltration in this area." One of the soldiers in the unit described his reaction to the raid as "is screaming, whimpering multitude the enemy?". The qibya 1953 raid was also conducted by unit 101 in response to an infiltrator throwing a grenade at an Israeli village that killed a woman and her two children. There is no evidence that the infiltrator came from qibya. The raid killed 69 civilians half of them women and children. Sharon would claim that they were killed due to being unaware that they were hiding in basements of houses. However, the evidence refutes that. UN observers for the armistice commission described it as "Bullet-riddled bodies near the doorways and multiple bullet hits on the doors of the demolished houses indicated that the inhabitants had been forced to remain inside until their homes were blown up over them. Witnesses were uniform in describing their experience as a night of horror, during which Israel soldiers moved about in their village blowing up buildings, firing into doorways and windows with automatic weapons and throwing hand grenades. A number of unexploded hand grenades, marked with Hebrew letters indicating recent Israel manufacture, and three bags of TNT were found in and about the village." In addition,the Jordanian pathologists reported that most of the dead had been killed by bullets and shrapnel rather than by falling masonry or explosions. Orders for Qibya operation called for "destruction and maximum killing". Ariel Sharon was also described by David Ben Gurion Israel's foundering father and first prime minister as "an insightful young man, innovative; if he were to surmount his weakness of not telling the truth in his reports he could be an exemplary military leader". During 1950's Israel did attack Bedouin in the Negev. This is described by mixed armistice commission as
"South of the Gaza Strip, after a long period of quiet on the Egypt-Palestine frontier, the Israelis started in the early summer intensified action against the few bedouin who lived in the empty wastelands of the desert on both sides of the frontier, and north of the El Auja demilitarized zone. Israeli aeroplanes attacked Arabs and their herds of camels and goats. At the same time, incidents of increasing gravity occurred in the demilitarized zone itself. Israel armed groups patrolled the zone; they shot at bedouin at the two main wells; Arabs and their herds were killed by air and ground attacks; armed Israel forces, up to approximately thirty men, shot the herds and burned the tents of bedouin. The Mixed Armistice Commission, having discussed the Egyptian complaint No. 336, decides:
"That an Israeli armed force has entered several times the demilitarized zone and attacked the bedouin inhabitants in the, area, killing them and their livestock and preventing them from having water from the wells in the area, thus constituting a flagrant violation of article VIII, paragraphs 1 and 5, of the General Armistice Agreement;"
Due to international outcry following Qibya massacre reprisal raids were aimed at military targets afterward with exception of 1956 attack on Gaza city. The attack was ordered by chief of staff Moshe Dayan in response to Egyptian artillery on neighboring border kibbutz. The attack killed more than 50 civilians. David Ben Gurion did authorize use of artillery following clashes between IDF patrols and Egyptian military posts in April 1956; it's doubtful that he intended such extreme measures, David Ben Gurion ordered Dayan to stop firing after Dayan reported to Ben Gurion with a update on situation. After 48 war, free fire zones were instituted by generals like Yigal Allon which refugees were shot if they crossed borders that often weren't well defined. Only 10 percent of infiltration incidents between 1949 and 1956 were politically motivated or involved sabotage. By early 1955 between 2,700 and 5,000 Palestinians refugees were shot in these zones or blown up from Israeli mines. Another incident where Sharon committed a war crime while head of southern command in 1971 was uncovered. In 1972 Sharon ordered the expulsion of 3,000 Bedouins in the Sinai during middle of night when it was freezing for a military exercise causing 40 people mainly children, elderly, and babies to die. This is according to Clinton Bailey Israeli expert on Bedouin who at the time was serving as reserve officer in the Sinai heard about Bedouins being expelled and visited the area where Bedouin moved to. Bailey reported this to then chief of staff David Elazer who ordered Bedouins to be returned to their land. An army spokesperson's unit confirmed that the case is recorded in the IDF's history department.

An even longer post of BS. There are no 'facts' posted at any of the links you cite; they're gibberish propaganda, and not even intelligent ones at that. But thanks for verifying once again that the UN is a joke, and has zero credibility.

Can you point to any criticisms you've ever made of the violations of 'international law' and the rest of your recitations of the usual standard propaganda 'talking points' as applied to the faux 'palestinians' and the surrounding Arab countries, their human rights records, any other rhetoric that shows you're even remotely objective about this stuff? So far all I've seen is the usual distortions, BS spin, hearsay from completely unreliable sources, and dissimulating lies that have been exploded for decades and nothing new at all, just rinsed, repeat, and believe that mere repetition of nonsense 'talking points' makes it all true.

Do you really believe babbling all this rubbish is going to convince anybody that Israelis should commit suicide, just because you think they should?

All I have done is cite facts to the conflict. Again your argument is that I"m wrong with no facts to back up your case. I have never argued for Israel's suicide and support Israel's right to exist. Israel holding onto West Bank is suicide since it can't remain a Jewish and democratic at the same time. Apparently you didn't read my post at all since I used multiple sources including UN observers for mixed armistice commission who's detail of attacks concur with Jordanian pathologists and orders for Qibya raid which called for "destruction and maximum killing". Sharon was known for lying while he served in the army with Israel's foundering father David Ben Gurion saying he would be a great soldier if he didn't have the habitat of constantly lying in this reports. In the case of 1956 artillery attack on Gaza city center that in a book by former IDF officer Mordecai Bar-on. . In the case of the expelled Bedouin in the Sinai which you don't seem to mind killed 40 civilians consisting of women, child, and babies, it was acknowledge by an army spokesperson's unit saying that it was recorded by IDF history department. 10 percent of incidents involving infiltrators being political or involving sabotage statistic are from Israeli archives. The "is this screaming multitude the enemy" quote is from solider in unit 101 describing bureij raid. I never said that surrounding Arab countries have a good human rights record. I would hope you would want Israel to have higher standards than countries like Syria or Saudi Arabia. The argument isn't also about Arab countries human right records or if they are following international law, the argument is about Israel's human right records and whether it's following international law. Israel's human rights record within green lines has improved over the years in several ways like ending of military rule over Israeli Arabs in 1966 and loosening of censorship after military censor attempted to cover up bus 300 affair with Supreme Court ruling only articles that are an imminent threat to security can be censored. However, Israel's human right records and following international law as shown before during 1950's were horrible. The fact is that at Bureij camp over 20 Palestinians refugees were massacred, this is according to UN observers set up for mixed armistice commission and fits description of the attack by one of the members of unit 101. The fact is Sharon and his unit massacred 69 Palestinians half of them women and children this is according to UN observers and witnesses that also described the massacre to UN observers, this is also according to Jordanian pathologists, fact is Sharon was not known as honest man while he served in the military and was described as a great soldier if he didn't have the habitat of constantly lying in his reports by David Ben Gurion. The fact is that only 10% of infiltrators were due to political reasons or sabotage this is according to Israeli sources. The fact is that during 1950's there were attacks on Bedouin in the Negev as shown by UN mixed armistice commission observers. To be fair, a small number of infiltrators did attack Israeli civilians ;killing 200 to 250 during 1949 to 1956 with infiltrators being supported by Egypt and Jordan after Israeli reprisal raids. Egypt cut off Israel to Strait of Tiran and Suez canal before 1956 war. Other mistakes/wrongs during 1950's time period was Nazis hiding and being used in places like Syria and Egypt. That doesn't change that incidents like Qibya is a war crime since civilians were deliberately targeted and attacked. Other incidents like expulsion of Bedouin in 1972 where even Israeli army doesn't deny is a war crime. The occupation also has been brutal with late former Shin Bet head Avraham Shalom described it as “[We’ve become] a brutal occupation force similar to the Germans in World War II," and former Shin Bet head Carmi Gillon as "We are making the lives of millions unbearable, into prolonged human suffering, [and] it kills me,". Also as I pointed out on this forum most Israeli security experts agree that Israel can't hold onto West Bank if it wants to be a Jewish and democratic state. One example is commanders for Israel's security founded last year which calls for Israel to negotiate regionally using Arab peace initiative as the basis. It includes 188 former security officials between them they have 5,600 years of experience. This right wing Zionism view of the conflict where the Arabs or the Palestinians are always wrong and the Israelis never committed any wrong or atrocities is just simply not true and delusional when army spokesperson unit admitting that case of expulsion that resulting in forty deaths of Bedouin elderly,children, and babies recorded by IDF history department is viewed as gibberish propaganda.

I support Israel's right to exist. The fact that Israel formed due to the British doesn't make it illegitimate. After all, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria were formed due to British or French mandates. After all, Georgephillip lives in a country;United States that wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the British since it did start out as British colonies, United States also committed worse crimes like with native Americans, slavery,etc. mainly due to international law not a concept for most of these years. Israel's control of most of West Bank will eventually end with majority in knesset(69 seats including Joint List, Meretz, Zionist Union, Yesh Atid, Kahlon, and Yisrael Beitineu) in various degrees agree that Israel can't hold onto most of West Bank. As mentioned before most former high level security officials like high ranking IDF officiers, Mossad and Shin Bet heads agree that Israel can't hold onto West Bank if it wants to be a Jewish and democratic state. You also accuse me of having no leg to stand on. Yet you liked a post where there were no facts are used against my argument when mine included multiple sources including Israeli army spokesperson's army unit acknowledging that IDF history department recorded case of Bedouin expulsion that caused 40 Bedouin including eldery, children, and babies to die.

Arabs and Kurds in Iraq were on the same end of British bayonets as the Arabs of Palestine:
"The British responded with gas attacks by the army in the south, bombing by the fledgling RAF in both north and south. When Iraqi tribes stood up for themselves, we unleashed the flying dogs of war to 'police' them. Terror bombing, night bombing, heavy bombers, delayed action bombs (particularly lethal against children) were all developed during raids on mud, stone and reed villages during Britain's League of Nations' mandate.

"The mandate ended in 1932; the semi-colonial monarchy in 1958. But during the period of direct British rule, Iraq proved a useful testing ground for newly forged weapons of both limited and mass destruction, as well as new techniques for controlling imperial outposts and vassal states."

Sounds a little like the IDF's useful testing ground in Gaza, doesn't it?

You make a good point, xavierphoenix, about US history and how that induces many Americans to support Israel's colonization of Palestine; many countries with their own histories of genocide, like the US and Australia, for example, have many citizens who unthinkingly support the Jew's use of ethnic cleansing today. In addition, most Americans rely on their corporate media to acquire knowledge about events in Israel/Palestine without realizing how fundamentally biased those media are.

Lol, Brigette Gabriel. She is another Christian Arab who emigrated to the US and subsequently developed a deranged form of hatred towards Muslims. It often happens.

Brigitte sounds like a bigot:
"In 2007 at the Christians United for Israel annual conference, Gabriel delivered the following speech:
The difference, my friends, between Israel and the Arab world is the difference between civilization and barbarism. It's the difference between good and evil [applause].... this is what we're witnessing in the Arabic world, They have no soul, they are dead set on killing and destruction. And in the name of something they call 'Allah' which is very different from the God we believe....[applause] because our God is the God of love.[42]"
How many children did the "God of love" kill in Gaza last summer?

Danny Gonen, 25, from Lod, who was killed Friday, June 19, 2015 in a shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Dolev by a Palestinian gunman (Facebook)
Credit: Facebook

On Friday, Danny Gonen, 25, had gone with his friend, Netanel Hadad, for a dip in the Ein Buvin spring near Dolev (a village in the Binyamin Regional Council of the Shomron, north east of Jerusalem). They were returning when their car was flagged down by an Arab. When they stopped, he shot into the car 10 times. Gonen was killed and Hadad was injured.

Family and friends mourn at the funeral in Lod of Danny Gonen, who was shot dead on June 19, 2015 by a Palestinian gunman near the West Bank settlement of Dolev. (Photo by FLASH90)
Credit: Flash 90

~~~~~~~~~~
Gonen, who was buried today in his hometown of Lod, near Tel Aviv, was described as a pillar of strength to his widowed mother and four younger siblings.
How much pain, how many times?
Does world news carry this? A rhetorical question.
~~~~~~~~~~

An IDF search of the area was initiated immediately. But by last night that attempt to find the assailant was abandoned. The case has been turned over to the Shin Bet, who is initiating inquiries of a different sort, relying on intelligence. It is troublesome that he has not been located yet, but he will be found.

Reports indicated that the assailant was thought to have acted on his own. However, a group that calls itself the “Marwan Kawasme and Amer Abu Aysha Squad” has claimed responsibility. Affiliated with Hamas, the squad is named for the two terrorists who killed three Israeli teenagers last summer.

Obscene.

Go to Google make a search for <Dr. Qanta Ahmed> and read a little.

Some of the Arabs including killer of Danny Gonen are barbarians. Some of the Arab governments especially Syria which has used chemical weapons against civilians and Saudi Arabia which has 30,000 political prisoners and has among the strictest if not strictest form of Sharia are barbaric. However, that doesn't mean all mean all Arabs are barbarians. It's important to note the attack was done by members of Hamas not acting on orders from Hamas central leadership similar to last summer obviously barbaric kidnapping of three Jewish teens. The Israeli Palestinian conflict is marked by barbaric atrocities by both sides. A current example of Israelis being barbarians are extremist settler leaders of YItzhar, Itamar, and Hebron. Yeshivas heads for these settlements and chief rabbi of Hebron which do get state funding as part of general of education to fund yeshivas are coauthor or endorse King's Torah which does call for killing non Jews even children. The chief rabbi for Hebron in a rabbical ruling said that Baruch Goldstein who massacred 29 Palestinians in 1994 was holier then martyrs from the holocaust. For the past four years there have been 399 attacks on Palestinians by settlers, 93 of them assaults on Palestinians and 306 attacks on Palestinian property most of them from Itamar, Yitzhar, and Hebron. These attacks over the years have produced a handful of indictments/convictions with 97.4 cases involving attacks on Palestinian property closed without indictment. This is four times the rate in 2006 which UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs begin tracking these incidents. Keep in mind, these settler attacks which include nearly 1,600 cases in the past four years alone occurs while West Bank has been largely quiet with attacks largely consisting of lone gunmen attacks and PA maintaining security coordination with Israel. Actions of extremist settlers don't reflect all Israelis, just like actions of a Hamas terrorist not acting on orders from central leadership doesn't reflect all Palestinians or Arabs.

Ah ... so the answer is no you're not about to list all the violations of 'international law' your heroes have committed, so we can all compare the fake 'violations' you and the rest keep parroting over and over and over, year in, year out, ad nauseam.

What Goomba is trying to say here is he's really disappointed that a few Christians got away without being gang raped and beheaded by his heroes.

If you are going to respond to a post actually read it and actually use facts, instead of knee jerk reaction that anyone that criticizes Israel is a rabid anti semite. These aren't fake violations, all of these actions are recorded in history and is a fact they happened. This includes Israeli soldiers describing bureij massacre, foundering father of Israel admitting Sharon would be great military leader if he didn't have the habitat of lying in his military reports, and IDF history department admitting Bedouin expulsion case was recorded. I never denied that Arab side haven't committed wrongs or atrocities, some of which listed in citation of my post others include attacks by PLO during 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's(also killing thousands of Lebanese Christians while in Beirut), along with Arafat launching second intifada, suicide bombers, rocket attacks, etc. Both side's hands aren't clean. Nor does it change the fact that atrocities like Qibya, Bureij, 1956 Gaza city artilley attack, 1972 Sinai expulsion etc occurred and are war crimes(obviously rocket attacks, suicide bombers mentioned above are war crimes, however that doesn't give a license for either side to commit war crimes) . You libel me with disgusting accusation that I like to see lots of dead Jews. Any death whether Jewish, Arab, or anyone else is obviously tragic, you on the other hand don't seem to mind if Arabs die even when innocents like women and children die since your reaction to overwhelming evidence that Israelis committed clear atrocities in the past like Qibya, Bureij, 1956 Gaza city artilley attack, and 1972 Sinai expulsion etc is call the person anti Semitic and atrocities fake(even though sources included Israelis ones) with nothing to back you up. More evidence on Sharon's character include Rabin saying "in my first week as chief of staff, I called him and said, "Everyone knows you're a superb military man. Your trouble is, though, that people tend to believe you're not a decent human being..." Sharon served briefly in infantry training. He was fired by General Yosef Geva for failing to turn up at a meeting and then lying about why he hadn't come. Ben Gurion stepped in to make sure he wasn't ousted from army describing him as brave, original, and resourceful. Geva replied with "Yes, but he's not disciplined, and he doesn't tell the truth. After Kalkiya reprisal operation after Dayan was criticized when he Sharon and other generals to speak his mind, lashed out at Sharon accusing him of "indifference to Israeli casualties. Sharon needlessly risked soldiers' lives, he charged, in order to kill greater numbers of Arab soldiers and score 'fuller' victories." Misham Shaham commander of Jerusalem brigade recalled when Shlomo Lahat arrived to take command of a battalion the first thing he wasked was "Where do we train". The first Sharon asked when received a battalion was "Where can we fight Arabs, where can we kill Arabs around here? You also accuse me of not being objective when you aren't being objective by ignoring facts even if they are from Israelis sources if they don't suit you.

A Pakistani for Israel

Perhaps the most exciting speaker of truth was Kasim Hafeez, a Pakistani Muslim who – after reading Alan Dershowitz’s book, “The Case for Israel” – turned from a radical jihadist to an Israel lover. In fact, Hafeez, now works for CUFI, “Christians United for Israel.”

Hafeez has had to endure ostracism by his family and friends. But after visiting Israel for three weeks, he said, he saw that all the propaganda about Israel was a total lie and that Israel is a “true beacon of freedom in the Muslim world.”

Another non-answer. Why don't you post as much on the Arab violations of this vaunted 'international law' as you do on these alleged Israeli violations? Is it because the list is so vast, and going on even today, that even if all the fictional violations you've been sniveling over re Israel were true they would be completely insignificant in comparison?
