If you wanted to, how would you foment Civil War in America?

Yeah, but can you recall even hearing of a state that lacks the well regulated militia? As to the rest of us, there is no requirement to be regulated at all but our rights to own and use firearms are to never be infringed. A thing democrats totally ignore all the time.

i will google states with no national guard to see what comes up. Ooops, all 50 states have that well regulated militia. i guess we the people get to own our firearms and never be infringed on.

The Army National Guard exists in all 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia. The state, territory or district leadership are the Commanders in Chief for each Guard.

That I am. I call the guard the militia. But when I was in the Army, the guard was called citizen soldiers
I believe. They met monthly to train and acted like they were really like we in the active army were.

 

A militia doesn't necessarily have to be a member of the national guard. It can be anybody.

 

This country needs healing..

I think the only way to find that healing is to get back to the constitution.
It will not come by left and right compromising and thus making more horrible laws that do nothing.

Maybe a common goal would help too.
My recommendation for such a goal?
Paying off the national debt.

Nobody is going to get into a civil war over sane gun control. ONly the paranoid and the industry ( especially lapierre and his slappy happy gang) would think that could happen. The second amendment is a long long long long way from being repealed.

 

I would do what the Russians have been doing -- stirring up ignorant fringe groups of all kinds with disinformation and working to destroy the credibility of the credible (real) news media as well as that of honest, qualified politicians while co-opting and promoting the corrupt liars. Second Amendment is just one of many such topics that could be, and indeed have been, exploited in this way and to this end.

Seems I would hear about this early on. Funny how nobody told me. I went to the NRA site and it makes no mention of going bankrupt. Wonder why not? Hell if they told me, myself and millions more would send them cash. Maybe Democrats planned it all along, for us to send the NRA donations.

Most gun deaths are by those wanting to kill themselves. A large yet smaller group are blacks. Blacks in cities to be exact. Blacks living on farms probably eat better and have no need to go to cities gunning for people to murder.

Black college graduates have no need to kill for money either. They can afford all the coke up their noses they want.
