Ignorance concerning Covid is taking a toll.

Actually, heart disease is preventable in most cases. A healthy lifestyle significantly reduces the risk of many diseases including Covid. Since we are discussing this in a thread on ignorance, do you know the risk of hospitalization/death for healthy people?

 

And the same people that are pushing social distancing and mask wearing mandates and vaccine mandates so that we could all do our parts and helping to mitigate the spread of the virus refuse to acknowledge or explain to me scientifically how the mask I post is inferior to the mask they wear as well as why they won't wear it

 

Maybe they don't like the smell of your bait.

 

Maybe they don't like facing the fact that they are all hypocrites? These masks exist. And now you are aware of them. And scientifically they are designed SPECIFICALLY to keep the wearer safe from virus and bacteria ABSOLUTELY.

And they look ridiculous.

So now that you are aware of the mask. And it's superiority to the cloth **** you parade around in for theater. Either wear one, or be labelled a hypocrite.

Did the medical “experts” you follow blindly neglect to inform you there are in fact readily available vaccines that are relatively good at keeping you from “incurring” heart disease? You’ve almost certainly had at least one vaccination that is effective at protecting you from heart disease.

Well, the ignorance seems to be spread thick and not just on right wing folk.

I’m genuinely interested in knowing what “experts” gave you the information on which you make the above claims. Could you name them? You would be doing us all a great service in pointing out these “expert” as they are obviously completely ignorant of virology and immunology and can’t be trusted with our health.

Oh, yes, I’m telling you there ARE vaccines that “reduce incurring” heart disease, and I’m not a media entertainer. But you can trust me.

Bottom line, Trump pushed the vaccine and helped cut the redtape to get it as quick as possible. The one in the Whitehouse said he questioned Trumps vaccine. Biden now with a vaccine has more deaths than Trump had under his watch. Some of the vaxxed in this thread are blaming the unvaxxed for killing people but also arguing the vaxx works and you won't die if you get it. Uhh so what's their issue again or does the vax not work? Biden has done an unbelievable bad job selling the FREE vaccine, the left made covid political against Trump and now realizing their leader is doing worse but blaming all those African American Trumpers I guess since they're the ones not vaxxed. Last but not least the one's pushing the vaxx are now saying well if an outbreak happens you got to mask back up and shutdowns are looming even though 70% are vaxxed. This has become lefty bizzarro world and I'm vaxxed.

 

Heart disease is not transmitted. But it can be prevented with just proper nutrition and exercise. And so can covid.

 

Most Americans don't live in rural areas where healthcare sucks.

 

No need to deny hereditary predisposition, etc.

Meanwhile, regarding Covid, the unvaccinated are clearly a burden:

If your contention is that Trump made 'ObamaCare' popular in urban and suburban areas but neglected rural ones, I have seen no credible data concerning that.

 

Healthy people are far less likely to be hospitalized that sick ones.

Far more relevant is the reality that it the unvaccinated who are contracting serious cases of Covid that require hospitalization and are dying at a much higher rate than vaccinated folks.

The strain they are placing on our healthcare system is making it less effective and more expensive for everyone. It is a mater of empirical data, not ideological dogma.

Ignorance is irresponsible. It has tragic consequences.

I’m an E.R. Doctor in Michigan, Where Unvaccinated People Are Filling Hospital Beds

Recently a patient in his 70s came seeking care at the small rural hospital in West Michigan where I’ve worked as an emergency physician for two decades. He had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in the week, was running a high fever and struggled to breathe. When asked if he’d been vaccinated, he snapped back, “I don’t approve of the vaccine.”

A few days later, a young patient sick with Covid-19 was admitted with dangerously low blood oxygen levels. His spouse and infant child came in to say goodbye just before he was sedated and intubated. “I don’t think I’ll see you again,” he said. He died before the end of the week. He was unvaccinated.

As of last Monday, nine hospitals in Michigan were 100 percent full, and at least 20 others were at or above 90 percent capacity. Statewide, nearly one in four hospital patients has a confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19. In the last few weeks, my hospital has been consistently at or near capacity and nearly every day the vast majority of those patients are sick with Covid-19. Nearly all have been unvaccinated.

All credible data and expert testimony I can find confirms that the unvaccinated are developing serious cases of Covid, requiring hospitalization, requiring intensive care, burdening caregivers, straining the system, and dying at a far higher rate than are the vaccinated.

If you have any alternative, legitimate sources, who are they and what are they telling you?

A lot of repubs choose to be dumb. Even Sen Lindsey Graham (a true repub and Trump friend and supporter, almost up to the end) was booed at a repubs meeting when he encouraged people to get vaccinated!
